This is Billie - @jacinthagnaturopath new 5month old rescue puppy. 🐶 awww what a cutie!

We love our furbabies at New Leaf mainly because of the funny things they do and the companionship they give but also because having a pet is great for your microbiome.

But don’t worry if you can’t share your life with a pet, you can improve your gut microbiome by spending time outdoors and eating a wide variety of plant foods… the New Lead mantras!

Should you be counting kicks in pregnancy?? @jacinthagnaturopath breaks down what the science tells us to do.

Most women report being able to feel their baby
move between 16 and 24 weeks of pregnancy.

There is no set number of movements so counting kicks is not encouraged.

Get to know the pattern, type and strength of
movements that is unique to your baby.

Research tells us that around half of all women who had a stillbirth noticed their baby’s movements had slowed down or stopped.

Healthy babies move regularly right up until and
during labour and a change in movements could be a sign that your baby is unwell.
This is all great advice from @rednoseaustralia

Tea. We prescribe, and imbibe, on the regular.
For the therapeutics,
for the extra fluid intake,
and for that meditative moment in time it takes to boil the kettle, brew your tea, and take that first hot sip.
That moment is medicine too.
Enjoy your cuppa.

The most powerful shifts in our health can happen when we follow these three simple rules:

🔅 Listen to your body
🔅 Honour your hunger
🔅 Fuel your movement

They embody the principles of #naturopathicmedicine so well. By really listening to your body you can learn so much. It is always trying to tell you something, especially about when and what to eat. How we want to move. How we want to feel.

As a health practitioners, we focus on #intuitiveeating in the dietary advice I provide to clients. Once we stop the cycles of reward and restriction in how we approach our plates are we really able to shift how the body works.

Our bodies are always trying to tell us something, we just have to learn how to listen.

A very special @newleaf_naturopathy moment when we all get together!! (Well, nearly everyone @natme_endogroups we missed you).

We are a 100% online virtual clinic - our practitioners are located all up & down the coast of NSW. So when there’s an opportunity presents itself for us to get together we jump on it.

So on the hottest day of the year so far we come together for a few laughs and plans and good times. Getting a gang of naturopaths together means we make an attempt to solve all the world’s problems. And we gave it a good go yesterday!

What a team. The ultimate dream team!
