I can’t even begin to express my gratitude…

I’ve officially just wrapped my first Take Steps season with the @crohnscolitisfoundation 💙

As a new employee to the Foundation with the @crohnscolitisfoundationla_oc Chapter, it’s been an honor to serve the IBD community and scale my efforts in helping those who need it most. As of this past weekend, I’ve completed coordinating two of our Take Steps fundraising walks that fuel research, support, and programs for the IBD community!

As a patient myself, living with Crohn’s can be an extreme challenge and having it nearly take my life away is a heavy burden that I’ll always have to carry with me. It’s a rare thing to have something so tragic become the reason to keep going and to meet amazing people in an incredibly powerful community. It’s all worth fighting for.

My Take Steps team this year, the Crohn’s CEOs, were able to fundraise nearly $4,000 for the Foundation! We’ll be even stronger next year and all the years that follow. I can’t wait to celebrate these wins over the summer through community events and meetups.

A BIG thank you to my fellow Chapter Staff @realnataliekaye @oheyness @skye.reese and Paddy Harrigan along with our Board and Committees for being the best group of people to work with on a day-to-day basis. It’s an absolute honor having the opportunity to do this work!

And a final BIG thank you to all the patients, volunteers, healthcare professionals, caregivers, supporters, sponsors, vendors, and partners that fuel these events and energize the IBD community.

For all the cards that were dealt to me, I’m ultimately a pretty lucky guy. Much love to everyone involved; I can’t wait to keep helping as many patients as I can💙
