It’s been a while since I last posted here and this detox has been lovely :) of course a privilege too. A much needed disconnection for reconnection, I guess.

You know there are some experiences in life that you want to gate keep because they are so moving and close to your heart? This was one of them.

Yoga and I crossed paths during a very demanding period in my life- when my mental and physical health was all over the place. Nothing I was doing made sense, I couldn’t connect with anyone around and would simply do my practice here like a workout without any real thought/ awareness.

However, it’s only in the last couple of months, especially after completing my yoga teacher training course this year January did the practice bring me close to my true inner self, slowly making me move away from my state of cognitive dissonance and dig deeper on the inside.

Yoga has shown me a mirror and got me in touch with my innate qualities which were suppressed by constant running and performing everything except what actually moved me.

The practice has added a much needed discipline, ego burning and resilience to my life and so much learning and unlearning has happened both on and off the mat!

No amount of words can do justice to this journey but I’ll try to encapsulate it through my teachers’ @yogshalabyurmal words that keep echoing every now and then- “What do we do when seasons change? When winter arrives after summer? We put on a jacket right? The weather doesn’t change for us. We change. So try to be more receptive and just say to yourself, we’ll see what happens next”.

With this simple yet such a heartfelt analogy of hers, I’m slowly learning to cultivate acceptance, let go, be softer to myself and continue being curious and weird amidst the rat race that constantly demands conformity.

Needless to say, Mysuru has a very special place in my heart and I feel lucky to call it my second home now! 🫶

Thanks for giving me the best yoga family- brilliant teachers whose eyes fill up with pure joy every time they see their students succeed and friends who made me rediscover this version of Aadya that got lost along the way.

The last month has been nothing short of a rollercoaster — equal parts challenging, grounding, emotional, and so deeply fulfilling.
🌿✨ I took a little step back from here to give myself the gift of a one-month yoga teacher training course and it turned out to be one of the most meaningful experiences of my life.

I laughed, I cried, I learned, I unlearned — and somewhere in all of that, I grew. I walk away not just with a certificate in my hand, but with so much gratitude in my heart for the people I met, the lessons I received, and the space I gave myself to just BE 🤍

A heartfelt thank you to the school @bharatha.yoga and especially my teacher, @the_blue_tarp_guy whose depth of knowledge, guidance, and techniques made every session so enriching. To my batchmates who shared this journey with me — you made it brighter, lighter, and full of laughter.
I’ll carry this energy and all of you forward.

And a special shout-out to @rheadeepak , who inspired me to take this step by leading the way with her own training — your example encouraged me to say yes to this adventure. 💛

Graduation done, heart full, and on to the next adventure 🙌🏻
