POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
It’s coming up to our 7th birthday in a couple of months and we felt it was high time for a freshen up and a bit of a refresh of our branding. Thanks to our very talented friend Ali aka @handsforfeet for sorting the new logo which we feel represents us and the feeing of the shop perfectly. Thanks also to @jack_mackfall for the tidy paint job and @aptstudiouk for sourcing and installing the new signage. We’re looking forward to entering the new year with a new look after a little festive break.

19 years ago @GreenDay released Bullet In A Bible - The live show DVD. At the time I was just starting my journey as a filmmaker. I remember a load of people I knew were going to the Milton Keynes show and they came back with stories of how insane it was. At the time I was figuring out in my own head how I was gonna become a filmmaker. I knew I wanted to make films but needed to expand my experience, so I formulated a plan to start filming gigs and to post them on social media platforms to grow an audience. It was the perfect chance to work alongside musicians who I admired that were carving their own path. I felt like it was mutually beneficial for us to work together and gain from the collaboration. What's more it never really felt like work, rather an insanely fun way to figure out who I was when I had a camera in my hand (when there was no budget).

A lot of the time the early jobs were self funded. Management and labels getting phone calls and emails from a random guy asking to work with their artist. They had much scepticism to why someone would want to work on something for free... Their scepticism generally was a mirror to the atmosphere within one of the world's most well known and notorious sectors of the entertainment industry. A nice guy funding a team of video people to film a band, and all he wants is to share it with people on the internet?! Surely not. Surely yes. Crashburn Productions was the name, which eventually morphed into the notorious 'Crashburn'.

Flash forward 19 years - after many many live shows, docs and music videos - we walked into Wembley stadium. But not as punters, rather THE team capturing an incredible moment in a band's career. Fate had decided that that band would be the same one I had heard about all those years ago at Milton Keynes. Green Day.

It has been an incredible year. So much fantastic stuff has come, and is coming. The success is largely in part also to the incredible team I have. I have to pinch myself to fully realise this is my day job. But I also feel as ever that this is just the beginning... The practise run is over. The hard work and craftsmanship begins now.

Watch. This. Space. Much love to all x
