Exactly two years ago today, I was driving up to Syracuse NY, for an experience that would change my life forever. I was about to make a movie I had written with my husband @pangofilms —one we had spent three years trying to get made. That movie was @legendofjuanjosemundo ❤️🎬!

What happened over the next few months is almost impossible to put into words. The beautiful and amazingly talented people I met, the creativity I was surrounded by, the laughter every day, and the sheer joy of making this movie together…you really had to be there.

I can’t imagine that anything will ever compare to making this film, especially because it is based on my life in high school during the best decade of all—the 1980s! The whole experience was a little like high school itself—a wonderful snapshot suspended in time. A group of strangers thrown together, having first-time experiences, laughing constantly, making lifelong memories, and somehow becoming family.

And now, after all these years of dreaming about it, fighting for it, making it, and waiting for it…I finally get to share The Legend of Juan Jose Mundo with THE MUNDO!
