But SERIOUSLY guys! Windy Acres is SO cute. The desserts alone are worth the trip- the apple blossom SPECIFICALLY 🤌

I loved that even with everything going on, it still had that family-owned, small-town feel.

McHenry County will always be my home base, but real estate has me running all over Northern IL! and obviously I’m going to find the cute places while I’m there 😂 It’s honestly one of my favorite parts of what I do.

@WindyAcresFarmStand Geneva,Il ,This place is family owned and run, going on 40 years, and you can feel it the second you walk in. Every single detail was thought through by people who actually get it.

Clean ingredients in the bakery. A mom’s center so you’re not nursing in a parking lot. Staff who treat you like a neighbor, not a ticket number. That kind of care doesn’t come from a corporation. It comes from a family who built this from the ground up and still shows up every day.

So here’s your girls night game plan:

Come on a weekend. That’s when the live music and DJ are going, and the beer garden is open with fall ales, seasonal cider, pumpkin spiked drinks and apple cider slushies. Grab a picnic table, grab a drink, and just sit. When was the last time you just sat? Or get up and dance!!

Then eat. The apple blossom is worth the drive alone. Apple nachos are the snack you didn’t know you needed. And the corn flight is exactly what it sounds like: a lineup of sweet corn done every way, and yes you’re trying all of them.

Wander the pumpkin patch. Get lost in the corn maze on purpose. Make friendship bracelets like you’re 12 again (we did, no regrets thanks @todaysmodernmom_ ). Take the fit pics. Spin with a pumpkin on your head. I’m not explaining that one, you’ll get it.
