#WhyWednesday

There’s a reason athletes keep showing up.

It’s not just the workouts, the weights, or the numbers on the board. It’s how you make people feel while they’re chasing something bigger.

When athletes feel welcomed, challenged, believed in, and valued, consistency becomes easier. Accountability becomes something they embrace instead of something they avoid. They WANT to come back. They WANT to work. They WANT to get better.

That’s the environment we continue to build at ETS Kalamazoo. 💪

This summer, we’ve also had the opportunity to welcome back and work with so many of our college athletes during their offseason. Athletes competing at the next level who still choose to come home, put in the work, sharpen their game, and prepare for another season.

That means a lot to us.

Watching athletes grow from young competitors into college athletes — and then having them continue to trust us with their development — is what this is all about.

Build relationships. Create accountability. Develop athletes. Make people feel like they belong.

Proud of every college athlete who spent part of their summer grinding with us. Now it’s time to take that work back to campus and GO SHOW THEM. 🔥📈

Year 29

Another 365 days.
A man of God.
A lover of a beautiful superwoman, a mother.
A father of two.
A servant leader of the youth and the people of the world.

A lot has changed in just a year, and I am grateful for it every day. God has already mapped out the path, but it’s my job to do the right things and follow the trail to the final destination. We may not see it right away, but that’s the whole point of experience and God making signs to guide you back onto that path. I used to get superstitious about deja vu—feeling like I had been in a situation before or experienced something more than once—and I’d try to alter the course, thinking it was a sign from God that I was doing something wrong. Instead, it’s been Him shining a light, showing me I was doing things correctly. I was running away from my path, trying to create my own, which led me in the wrong direction. I’ve used it to my advantage, and it makes all the difference—regardless of whether times are tough or good.

I am thankful for everyone around me who loves me, and I’m grateful for those who don’t understand yet, because they will once everything clicks. I especially thank the superwoman and my family, who bring me peace every night. You help me grow. You help me shine. And you’ve made me understand the concept of love. There is much more to do, and I am thankful to have the sight to see, legs to walk, and lungs to breathe so I can seize every opportunity.

Something I’ve learned in the past 365 days:

1. Be very good to people on your way up because they will be good to you on your way down.
2. Be as good as you can be in 24 hours and nothing more.
3. Pray about it, and don’t worry about it.
4. Don’t let anything speed up your process, but never stand still. You reap what you sow.
5. There’s no perfect time to do anything—just get it done. Put your lessons or successes in motion.
6. Don’t forget the things that got you there once you arrive.
7. Focus Distorts Balance & Balance Distorts Focus. There are seasons lean into them.

🚀Jack & Brett Ayotte 🚀

This brotherly duo, Jack and Brett Ayotte, keeps growing stronger every day through their relentless training. Hardworking, humble, and accountable, these young men exemplify dedication. Jack has transformed from a high-performing high school athlete into a multi-sport college star, while Brett is forging his own impressive path in multiple sports. With a coach for a father, sports run deep in their veins, but they know there’s more to the game. They see each day as a new opportunity to improve. Today, we celebrate their commitment both on and off the field—always prioritizing their bodies and abilities to ensure their teams can depend on them when it counts.
