2 plus years in from the injury and we’re still grindin. It ain’t easy, but I’m determined to get back to what I knew as normal as much as possible! Glad to be at this point in the game… can’t believe it’s taken 2 years to get to this point, bilateral patellar tendon ruptures are no joke.

Recovery is such a long tedious process that can’t be let up on. Any of you that have dealt with this or messaged me for help, just know you’ll make through as long as you stay consistent and keep working on improving day in and day out! ✌️

Also.. 4,3,2,1 is one of my all time favorite hip hop songs ever. Star studded line up and they all spit bars!

Doctor of Physical Therapy still doesn’t sound real. I never thought this day would come, but wasn’t going to stop until it did 🥵

Thankful for the friends turned family that got me here. Couldn’t have asked for anything better! #gratefulthankfulandblessed

I’m working on eccentric control and strength here. I’ve got the range of motion almost full range so now I have to get strong and efficient in the entire range of motion. -You see we grow into our bodies as we develop into adolescence and adulthood to handle our mechanical loads but, once the chain is broken we have to relearn and strengthen to get our bodies back to what it’s known as it’s normal our entire lives developing. We’ll take the challenge and raise the bar. 😤

I always appreciate the love and support. The more I’ve seen friends since being out and about more often, you guys always ask me how I’m doing and wish me the best on continuing healing. There’s nothin more powerful than that!💪💯 Big shoutout to my Physical Therapy Team!! @cuirafael and company!

hey @kinetixpt352, thanks for fixing my boo-boo 🥹 for real though, if you train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in North Central FL and are in need of physical therapy, Dr. Cui is your man. I was surrounded by BJJ practitioners from the moment I tore my knee 😅, to my MRI consultation with @fifthhandjiujitsu, to my last day of PT with @cuirafael, @triplevitality, and @alockard.bjj, and that was a huge peace of mind for me. Thank you all for pushing me hard, but never too hard, to regain not just my strength and mobility but also my confidence. Looking forward to my first competition this year in the very near future 💙🥋 #thankyou

Shoutout to my two moms for coming down to FL and enjoying some sun to wrap up my first year of DPT school! Also to all my brothers and sisters who have made sure I had fun and didn’t get kicked out… drove back 19 hrs through the night back to MI so I can enjoy a quick 3 week break before a HEAVY fall semester kicks off
