ArtYard Kingston: A Fall Transformation!

As we prepare our fall programming, we’re giving some of the artworks at ArtYard Kingston a new life!

A new version of Ellie Murphy’s Own Goal (2026), a monumental macramé and non-woven fiber installation, transforms the drive-through overhang into a vibrant public art experience.

Natalie Wood’s organic seating continues to evolve naturally, nourished by new growth and plenty of rain.

Jack Henry’s parking barrier keeps reminding visitors that this is not a parking spot!

And Z Behl’s monumental sculpture reaches skyward, with a hand stretching toward the heavens.

Art continues to transform the everyday landscape of Kingston, NY. Come see how ArtYard is changing with the seasons!

Now this is my kind of car show!!! Part tailgate. Part site-specific exhibition. Part trunk show. Part art fair.
It felt important to see this one in person, especially as the organizer of another automotive art event and I’m soooo glad I made the trip. This is SUCH A COOL THING!!!

YES to transforming parking lots and cars into vibrant, unconventional art shows, exhibition spaces, sound installations, and weird happenings. This is a much better way to experience art than the sterile, dentist-office vibe of the typical white cube gallery. More of this, please!
50+ vehicles, and every single one was wonderful.

Lichtundfire is pleased to announce and welcome all to HABITAT- The Natural Home or Environment, an exhibition in various media addressing the abundant habitats that coexist in accordance with a multitude of species, from microscopic to extraordinarily large, and across time, encompassing a species range from microbes to prehistoric animals and plants.

While it explores the many different habitats on Earth and, ultimately, extending into Space- it seeks to bring forth, both visually and conceptually, the countless possibilities and obstacles that lie within the constraints of these specific environments—with the intention of a deeper understanding of what defines us and all beings.
