🌟 Recap at the Hollywood Christmas Parade

UAII made history as the first-ever Indigenous float to participate in the 92nd Hollywood Christmas Parade. 🌟

We proudly took to Hollywood Blvd with:
✨ 2 stunning floats
✨ 2 sleek convertibles
✨ The UAII health van
✨ Our drum and dance group in full regalia

This was more than just a parade; it was a powerful statement of representation, visibility, and Native pride. Huge thanks to Indigxproductions for making this possible and to @patredbonevegas and family for joining us on this historic float.

This moment was also dedicated to raising awareness for MMIP (Missing and Murdered Indigenous People) and celebrating the beauty and resilience of Indigenous culture.

🎥 Don’t miss the parade airing on The CW on December 14th—relive this incredible moment and celebrate with us!

Thank you to everyone who supported and cheered us on. Together, we are making history and uplifting our voices.

69 years ago today Rebel Without a Cause, directed by Nicholas Ray and starring James Dean and Natalie Wood, was released in theatres by Warner Brothers Studios.

Clelia Vizioli (AOS Student) as Natalie Wood and Drew Bly (2-Year Conservatory Student) as James Dean remake the “I Go with the Kids” scene from Rebel Without A Cause on location in Los Angeles.

Utsav Patel (2-Year Conservatory student) poses at Griffith Observatory— another one of the legendary Rebel Without a Cause sites where the iconic finale scene was shot— just 15min from our LSTFI campus. A plaque and busk of Dean can be found at Griffith Observatory honoring his and the film’s impact on Hollywood’s golden age of cinema.

James Dean studied with Lee Strasberg at The Actors Studio in the time leading up to his renown performance in Rebel Without a Cause and his tragic passing in 1955. In the black & white Actors Studio photo by Roy Schatt, James Dean can be seen sitting in the front row, one seat over from Lee in class.

Today, Lee Strasberg students honor James Dean’s legacy and pay tribute to their fellow Strasberg Method Actor by visiting these iconic Rebel Without a Cause film locations around Hollywood.
