Nights you live for.

Having spent the past five harvests down the southward, this one started with a blank slate. With the boat snugged on her home moor’, clearing well past 100 hours logged since mid June, I had decided early on (for reasons only those who have experienced it may understand) that the surf would be my main focus from here on out.

Late tides turned to early mornings combing the barren beaches and rips that had been so plentiful in months past. The eagerness and excitement slowly dwindled as I turned to persistence and dedication, though some may diagnose it in a less flattering term. With this late-summer lull, I knew we needed to switch things up… The breakthrough came on a late afternoon working the shop with my buddy Jacob, though it had started a few tides prior on an exploratory mission with eel enthusiast @oscar.stroman_

With the equinox upon us, full moon tides, and a Nor’easter looming, I’m not sure how much longer we have left. Until then, I am right where I want to be.

Fun tide spent in uncharted waters with the rest of the Surfland crew.
