My Lola…
My best friend, my sister, my other half, i don’t know what i’m going to do without you. People always say that we train our dogs and we raise them, but I think you actually raised Jake, Jack and I. You taught us unconditional love, you taught us patience and loyalty, how to be gentle and you were our protector. As a family you taught us how to be a dog family. We never had to get Lucy trained because she just followed you and you were her biggest role model. You were me in dog form, you were sassy, stubborn, knew how to give the best side eye and your poker faces sucked, just like mine. It’s been less than 24 hours and i feel so lost without you, tonight i came home to everything in the same spot you left it and I don’t know if any of us will be strong enough to move anything for a while. Thank you for comforting me on the worst days and always being there to greet me at the door when I came home. I feel so lucky to be the one to hold you as you took your last breath and I hope you know that I didn’t want to let go. I will miss you and everything about you for the rest of my life and I can’t wait to see you again one day but for now, enjoy your peace and i hope you are getting all of the rotisserie chickens in heaven right now. I love you forever and always my Lo. 🤍🪽
