Wow, The View Upstairs was an absolute joy to create with the most beautiful and talented cast & crew. This show is such a beautiful story and I’m so glad I had the privilege of bringing Wes (a fashion designer) to life and really learn from him because funny enough we kinda want the same but also different things, but also apply things in my own life to him.

Coming back to theatre a whole year after I thought I’d be completely done with it was everything I had hoped and dreamed it would still be like but even better. Especially now doing more than 5 shows across 3 weekends and I’m not gonna lie it was a bit scary but I think I managed:) I was also lucky enough to work on the final costumes. It was so much fun combining my 2 favorite things, theatre and fashion! And I hope to do it again soon😊

Thank you to everyone who showed up if not for me, for all of the amazing cast and crew. I love you all and those who could not get tickets because each date was sold out (insane!!!!!!!) 🤯🫶🏽🥹

There’s so much more I wanna say but lastly, my heart goes out to all the lives lost in The Upstairs Lounge tragedy many years ago, never forgotten. I’m so glad I got the honor of telling this story along with such amazing people🫶🏽🫶🏽

Meet the cast of The View UpStairs! Running June 12-27 at The Barbershop Theater! 💈

“The View Upstairs” is a new musical is a fictional take on a very real tragedy. The UpStairs Lounge was a vibrant gay bar in New Orleans’ French Quarter. On June 24, 1973, it was the scene of a deadly arson attack. The UpStairs Lounge fire was the deadliest attack on a gay club in U.S. history until the Pulse nightclub shooting in 2016.

Directed by Deonté L. Warren and Music Directed by Makai Keur, this smash off-Broadway hit focuses not on the tragedy, but rather the people who made The UpStairs Lounge community so vibrant.

MLS is back in season! Last night’s home opener game was incredible, and being back in the stadium was everything I needed. I can go to games alone, or I can meet up with friends. Either way; Geodis Park feels like home. But here are some photos from over the past years to celebrate some memories.

• I love my @bootleggers_sg group of friends so much! I started out buying a season pass in 2020 and going alone. This group came up to me and literally said “we noticed you’re here alone every game, what’s your deal?” - and the rest is history. They invited me into their group and have been the kindest people ever

I’m ready to start my seventh season supporting the boys in gold 💛
