POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

So I have been traveling Europe for the past 7 months and although it may seem like I’m living the high life, just parting and bullshit. It actually all has a far more serious purpose. If you know me you know that I have been spending my time working and interning on local farms to learn about sustainability, agriculture and butchery.
I just recently said goodbye to this place; Cockburn Farm/Cockdurno Farm/ The Free Company right outside Edinburgh. These guys are taking their multi generational family farm and bringing it into the modern day. Which if you know anything about farming it is not an easy task. I learned a lot from this family and thank them for taking me in. Everything you see in this first & second photo was restored by the family themselves, they turned an old building into a thriving hub for their community. I witnesses first hand how hard all farmers work to keep things afloat and how much care goes into everything. There is no such thing as a day off in the farming community. So appreciate those weekend brunches because without the hard work of the farmers around the clock there would be no orange juice for your mimosas or bacon for your bacon rolls. It doesn’t matter if you eat meat or not, I think we all can agree on the fact that a farm is nothing without its community and a community is nothing without its farms. .

We picked up a copy of @vanguardsmagazine last week at @magculture's beautiful bricks-and-mortar shop in Clerkenwell - such a good looking magazine celebrating Scotland’s rich design heritage, and of course we love the illustrated cover, great job @kid_woof 👍! #illustration #vanguardsmagazine #magculture #print #design

Thanks @vanguardsmagazine for sending over the 1st issue. Magazine's looking good and so refreshing to read and see something Scottish-centric which doesn't make us want to crawl into a cave.
Can't wait for the next issue.
