Such an amazing opening reception at Marblehead!

So thankful to all who came and supported me in this huge milestone moment! Everyone’s sincere curiosity about my theme, color palette, visual references from my childhood left my heart full. All the conversations also helped me gain new perspectives about my own artwork.

I️ am especially thankful to friends who planned in advance and showed up (your planning def beat mine - I️ had to leave a family vacation in Banff to make it to the opening ;)

For those who missed it, the show will be up until the 21st September. So please head up to Marblehead on a beautiful sunny day as Lynn shore drive is an attraction in of itself.

Remembering Frank Quinn

Actually, who could forget Frank Quinn. Frank was a long-time multiple-time President of the Foxboro Art Association (FAA), long-time FAA VP, FAA Advisor, a very active FAA member, and a fun guy with a great sense of humor and a wealth of art history knowledge. He played a huge role the past twenty-five or so years making sure the FAA remained strong and active.

Frank was a friend – a very good friend.

Everybody knew Frank.

Everybody loved Frank.

Frank passed away peacefully this past Monday with his wife at his side. Progressive Aphasia made life a bit difficult for Frank the past few years. He could no longer paint and communication & mobility became difficult. But he still enjoyed being around friends and family.

Frank was a huge reason why the Artist’s Studio & Gallery at Patriot Place was so successful. Frank knew the local art scene well, including many of the artists. His smile was infectious when you walked through the art gallery door.

What some of you may not know is that Frank was one of the absolute best art show “hangers” in all of New England. He learned from another one of the best, Vera Cross. Frank knew how to make an art show look fantastic.

Visiting hours will be Monday, July 22nd 4-8pm at Alexander F. Thomas & Sons Funeral Home at 45 Common Street, Walpole. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday July 23rd 10:30am at St. Mary’s Church, 186 Washington Street, East Walpole.
