Happy 22nd Birthday to my firstborn. ❤️

My 9 lb. 13 oz. baby.

You came into this world BIG… and you haven’t slowed down since.

But here’s what I remember most…

You were the perfect first baby for me.

While I was overthinking everything, convinced I was doing it all wrong, reading every book, questioning every decision, and trying so hard to be the “perfect” mom… you were just… chill.

I swear you’d look at me with those big eyes like, “Mom… you’re doing great. Relax.”

You taught me how to be a mom just as much as I taught you how to be a little boy.

Fast forward 22 years, and wow… what a year it’s been.

Watching you help build a business from the ground up, seeing your incredible discipline in the gym, your commitment to your health, and the man you’ve become… it’s been so fun to watch.

You work hard, you care deeply, you make people feel welcome wherever you go, and somehow you still make us laugh every single day.

You’ll always be my first. The one who made me a mom. The one who gave me the greatest title I’ve ever had.

Happy Birthday, Jack.

I’m so unbelievably proud of you…

I love you more than words will ever be able to say. ❤️🎉😭

Happy Birthday Jack
From the beginning, you have had a heart of gold.
There is a goodness in you that people feel when they are around you. You care deeply, you notice others, and you have a natural instinct to protect and stand up for what is right. Never lose that part of who you are.
Lead with humility, courage, and compassion. Real leadership is not about control or recognition—it is about serving others and doing what is right even when it is hard or inconvenient.
People will be shaped by your actions more than your words. Use that influence wisely. Be someone who builds others up, who brings peace into difficult situations, and who stands firm in your convictions without losing kindness.
Never let the world harden your heart. Protect it. Strengthen it through faith. And let it continue to be something pure, steady, and good for as long as you live. Love you -Dad

🏐😅 Four days of volleyball sounded like a lot.

And it was.

But wow… what a week!!

Watching my 16 year old boy, standing 6’5” (knocking on 6’6”!), own the middle at the net is something I’ll never get tired of.

Seeing him explode off the floor, fly through the air, and play a game he genuinely loves is one of my favorite things in the world.

And maybe my favorite job of all?

Being his personal photographer. Capturing these moments that disappear in the blink of an eye but will last forever in photos.

This season has been so much more than volleyball. It’s been growth, confidence, friendships, hard work, and watching Grant discover something he’s truly passionate about.

I’m also incredibly grateful for the Southport coaches and families. From day one, you’ve been so welcoming. Thank you for taking Grant under your wing, believing in him, pushing him, teaching him, and helping him grow into the player he’s becoming.

What a season.
What an experience.
What a week.

Grant… I hope you know how unbelievably proud I am of you. Not just because of how high you jump or how well you play, but because of the young man you’re becoming. Your work ethic, your coachability, your humility, and your love for the game make watching you an absolute joy.

Now… let’s see where volleyball takes you next. ❤️🏐

250 years of freedom. 🇺🇸 We don’t celebrate because America is perfect.

We celebrate because we are unbelievably blessed to live in the greatest country in the world, thanks to the countless men and women who sacrificed everything to keep her free.

I don’t just feel grateful today. I feel grateful every single day that I get to raise my kids here.

I want them to know what freedom looks like. I want them to understand what it cost. I want them to realize it isn’t something we’re entitled to or something we should ever expect to last without sacrifice.

Freedom has always had a price.

I want them to grow up loving this country, appreciating this country, praying for this country, and never, ever taking it for granted.

We are living in the blessings that generations before us fought for, bled for, and died for. The very least we can do is honor that sacrifice by being good stewards of the freedoms we’ve inherited.

God bless America.

And happy 250th birthday to the greatest nation on earth. ❤️🤍💙🇺🇸

WE’RE OFFICIALLY OPEN! 🥤🎉

What an incredible week.

First, thank you.

To everyone who stopped by, waited in line, shared a post, told a friend, or simply encouraged this new adventure, we are so grateful! I wish I had photos of every single person who came through our doors because each of you helped make opening week so special.

While Toasties Soda Bar is very much a team effort with an incredible group of owners and partners, watching my son, Jack, pour himself into this business has been something I’ll never forget.

For months and months he’s been in the middle of it all… construction days, planning meetings, menu development, hiring and training staff, building the social media presence, making drinks, making sandwiches, solving problems, serving customers, and doing whatever needed to be done that day.

As his mom, I couldn’t be prouder. 🥹

He’s learning lessons that simply can’t be taught in a classroom.

Leadership. Responsibility. Humility. Teamwork. Customer service. Decision making. Perseverance. How to lead when you’re exhausted. How to serve people well. How to own mistakes and celebrate wins with a team.

Those are lessons he’ll carry for the rest of his life.

To our partners… thank you for believing in this crew and giving them the opportunity to learn by doing.

And to our amazing community… thank you for embracing Toasties from day one. Your support means more than you’ll ever know.

This is only the beginning, and we can’t wait to see where this journey takes the entire Toasties team.

Here’s to many dirty sodas, sandwiches, cookies, and memories ahead. ❤️🥤
