A little grace. A little grandeur. A glimpse of something beautiful. 🩰 Our heritage home became the stage for a collaboration between Houghton 1938, Pretty Creative Studio and L’Academie De Dans, bringing together expressive movement, thoughtful photography and timeless architecture. From soft window light to our distinctive Cape Dutch entrance, every setting offered a new way to capture the elegance of ballet. These first two photographs are just a sneak peek. There is so much more to share, and we cannot wait to show you. Have a creative vision of your own? Get in touch to enquire about hosting your next photoshoot at Houghton 1938. A very special Heritage Day welcome from Houghton 1938 🇿🇦 Heritage is about home, belonging, the stories we carry with us and the ones we continue to create. And this year, Lady Houghton has someone rather special by her side… meet Jolly, the newest (and arguably cutest) member of the Houghton 1938 team. 🐾 Her official duties currently include welcoming guests, inspecting the gardens, boosting staff morale and being outrageously handsome. We’re told she takes the role very seriously. From Jackie, Jolly and all of us at Houghton 1938, Happy Heritage Day, South Africa. 🇿🇦🩵 Here’s to celebrating the beautiful people, places, cultures and stories that make our country home. #Houghton1938 #HeritageDay #ProudlySouthAfrican #SouthAfricanHeritage #Johannesburg HoughtonEstate

The magic may be what you see. The mission is everything you don’t. 🤍 Behind every beautifully set table, every perfectly placed detail and every effortless moment at Houghton 1938 is a team working quietly behind the scenes, bringing creativity, care and heart to every occasion. From the first idea to the final finishing touch, creating something truly memorable is never the work of one person. It is collaboration, passion and an unwavering attention to detail. Because the most beautiful events should feel effortless, even when we know just how much love went into making them that way. ✨ Houghton 1938 Where beautiful moments are made. 🤍

Beautiful content starts long before it reaches the feed. ✨ A glimpse behind the lens from a beautiful women’s event at Houghton 1938, featuring Pippa’s Foods and Charlotte Rhys 🔥 At Pretty Creative Studio, one of the things we’re most proud of is that our photography isn’t outsourced. It’s us. 📸 Our photography and videography are created in-house, by our own creative team, with the same attention to detail, strategy and signature visual standard that we bring to every brand we work with. Because we don’t believe social media management should simply be about managing what gets posted. We believe in creating the content worth posting. From professional photography and videography to reels, campaign concepts, graphic design, content strategy and full social media management, we create the visual world of your brand and then help you tell its story. One team. One creative vision. From shoot day to social feed. 🤍 This is content creation, the Pretty Creative way. THIS is why we do what we do. There’s something deeply special about being trusted with someone’s vision and then getting to take that vision, run with it, and create a little bit of magic. This Vintage Old Hollywood matric pre-celebration shoot was exactly that. A beautiful concept, an absolutely iconic location at Houghton 1938, gorgeous subjects and the kind of creative collaboration that makes our PCS hearts VERY happy. Thank you so much, I’Louise, for this incredible testimonial and for trusting Aubyn and me to capture such a special milestone. And of course, a huge shoutout to Jackie from Houghton 1938, who is always an absolute dream to create alongside. 🤍 From concept and creative direction to shooting, editing and delivering those first sneak peeks, this is Pretty Creative Studio in our element. Big ideas. Beautiful moments. A little chaos behind the scenes. And content you’ll want to keep forever. WE CANNOT WAIT TO SHARE THESE PHOTOS AND VIDEOS WITH YOU!! Need a creative team to bring your next shoot, event or brand vision to life? Come create something pretty with us. #PrettyCreativeStudio #JohannesburgPhotographer #JohannesburgContentCreator #CreativeAgencyJHB #MatricDance2026

Some of the most beautiful events at Houghton 1938 are created through relationships built on trust, shared standards and a genuine love for what we do. 🌸 One of those very special relationships is with Pippa of Pippa’s Foods, one of our preferred suppliers and a woman who has become such an important part of the Houghton story. For this beautiful women’s corporate event, Pippa took care of both the décor and the catering, creating an experience that felt considered in every detail. From the abundant tables and exquisite florals to the beautiful food, everything worked together effortlessly within the elegance of Houghton 1938. But there is so much more to Pippa than her extraordinary work. She is a mum to two little girls, a talented businesswoman, a creative, and quite simply a beautiful person, inside and out. The standard she manages to deliver time and time again is exceptional, and it is a privilege to watch her bring her ideas to life in our home. There is also something rather special about the connection between Pippa and our very own “Lady Houghton”, Jackie. 🩷 Two women who adore beautiful things, understand the importance of detail and hospitality, and genuinely love creating memorable experiences for other women. When the right people come together, you can feel it in the room. And this is exactly what Houghton 1938 is about. ✨ Décor & Catering | Pippa’s Foods Venue | Houghton 1938 Photography & videography done by our in-house dream team @theprettycreativestudio 💖 #Houghton1938 #PippasFoods #WomenInBusiness #WomenSupportingWomen #JohannesburgEvents CorporateEvents LuxuryEvents WomenOfSubstanc

Women of substance. Women in business. Women who support women. 🩷 There’s something incredibly special about women who recognise that another woman’s success doesn’t take away from their own. It simply gives us more to celebrate. 🥂 For years, our very own “Lady Houghton”, Jackie, and the wonderful Pippa of Pippa’s Foods have worked side by side at private events at Houghton 1938, each bringing her own magic, experience and passion to create unforgettable experiences for their clients. Two women. Two women-owned businesses. Two incredible talents. And a beautiful example of what happens when women choose collaboration over competition. 🌸 This Women’s Month, we’re celebrating the art of being a woman of substance. A woman who builds, creates, supports, encourages, collaborates and leaves every room a little better than she found it. Here’s to women doing extraordinary things, and making space at the table for other women while they do it. 🥂🩷 Happy Friday from Lady Houghton & Pippa. ✨ 📸: @theprettycreativestudio #Houghton1938 #WomensMonth #WomenSupportingWomen #WomenInBusiness #WomenOwnedBusiness WomenOfSubstance CollaborationOverCompetition
