Myna birds found to catch public transport in Sydney. Cartoon based on a true story!

They’ve been seen calmly riding trains, experts say likely to exploit a new food source. I imagine them going on a foodie tour across the city. What an amazing example of wildlife adapting to the Australian urban environment.

Lots of fun drawing this!

Based on a true story/ @jackiedentwrites video which inspired this comic.

Two birds in Sydney have reportedly become regular train passengers, riding between Lindfield and Artarmon while searching for food.

According to passengers and a train guard, the birds appear comfortable on the trains and reportedly know when to board and leave based on station announcements. They are said to travel in pairs or small groups, usually during non-peak hours.

Another group has reportedly been spotted travelling between North Sydney and Milsons Point. A well-known train-riding bird named Archie was also previously known around North Sydney.

The unusual commuters have amused passengers, with many praising Sydney’s unexpected feathered public-transport regulars.

This week on Regard very special guest Jackie Dent discusses the “cathedral” like beauty of the inner workings of the human body, dissection and her book The Great Body Teachers.

Know Your Place, A Castlemaine Cemetery project to restore dignity. Human remains displaced from their original burial locations at Castlemaine Cemetery during decades of cemetery operations.

A formal apology extended in Tasmania’s parliament for the past practice of taking human specimens from autopsies and displaying them in a pathology museum without the knowledge or consent of family members.

You’re invited to take a block walk aka a land scuba dive. Spend an hour studying the block where you live. Take a thermos, have a tea break. Notice everything. (Inspired by @jedidiahjenkins)

And I ask, where in your house do you go, when you need to cry?

Last weekend we had the pleasure of diving into the mythic with this incredible bunch of humans. As so many of us felt, it is so freeing to shake off the business of theatre and go back to the why. To play, explore, fail, succeed and find a sense of togetherness was pure magic. Thanks to our beautiful participants, we truly loved being on the floor with you ❤️ ♥️ ❤️
