Fun time working with Jackie Maruschak on her headshots. Her personality was captured throughout the entire session. These are a few of my favorites. Way to go Jackie! . . . . . . #headshots #headshotsession #headshotphotographer #nycheadshots #actorheadshots

I saw on Instagram that if a friendship last seven years, it will probably last a lifetime ♾️ How to celebrate a life, person, a friendship of (going on) 13 years? We met on a church pew in the big feelings of our early 20s (naturally we were both crying) — moved by something — the stained glass, the big ideas of God and love of neighbor; the creative and imperfect spiritual home we had been so fortunate to find and that we later lost or left behind, through change and circumstance that’s hard to put into words, like a friendship is hard to put into words, like having someone you can be yourself with, without artifice or pretend. These things are rare, and precious, like @mich.aela.m is — and God, I’m thankful. Happy birthday, my darling girl, here’s to the rest of our hopefully long and silly lives, to joy, to feeling, to being afraid and doing it anyway, to delights, to love within conflict, and to laughing like idiots as often as possible. Your friendship has shaped me, inevitably it has changed me, and at the same time it’s allowed me to be more myself. Year of the fire horse means MORE APPLES AND PEANUT BUTTER and buckle up, babe, we goin places 🐎✨❤️

I was 💔 to learn that the baby-daddy of my first 2 solo shows has died… Director @richardembardo is one of the reasons I’m an actress (& 100% why I’m a writer/producer) today. I remember meeting him, thinking, “horray, I finally know someone in Hollywood!” And while our projects together never opened any Hollywood doors directly, his encouragement & guidance are what kept me in the game. I feel so blessed to have had him in my life, albeit teased that it wasn’t for longer. He will be with me always: at the computer hounding story-structure, backstage psyching me up, and in the audience laughing like he’d never heard these jokes, in spite of having wordsmithed them himself. What a massive contribution he made to my life— I wouldn’t be the same person without him. (#photosby @philnee, taken on closing night of #milesfrommyself, which I produced & performed w/ @janicebremec. We gave him a computer that night—hence his surprise— which is still the nicest gift I’ve ever given; but also, he was the absolute most deserving.) #RIP
