PART 1

Chapter 16

2 days later

Kenzie’s point of view: “Kenzie come on you’ve got to wake up. We need to leave for the airport soon.” I hear my mom say. “Ugh just 10 more minutes mom, please!” I beg. “Ok fine.” My mom says. “Oh Kenzie, Scotty leaves in half an hour for radio interviews.” My mom says before shutting the door. “WHAT!” I screech hoping out of bed and dashing to my closet. After I’m out of my Pj’s and as presentable as I’m going to be for 6am, I head down stairs. “Mom I thought you said Scotty was leaving?” I said when I see him and the rest of the McCreery’s at our kitchen table. “I may have lied a little bit as a ploy to get you out of bed faster, and hey it worked.” My mom chuckles along with everyone else. I take a sit next to Scotty and feel him lace his fingers with mine under the table. “So when did you two finally become an item and when did you plan on telling us?” My mom says as my jaw drops a bit. “Hun you do realize you’re sitting at a glass table right?” Ashley says trying not to laugh as I look down and see us holding hands through the clear glass. I feel my face start to redden as everyone but Scotty and I laugh. “Kenzie chill, you’ve known since last night, we just wanted to mess with you.” My dad says still laughing. “But come on we need to get going, your flight leaves in a couple hours.” He says. When we get to the airport I say my goodbye’s to everyone but Scotty. I always save him for last just so I can hold onto him a little bit longer. “Goodbye Scotty, I hope I can wake up to you on my birthday.” I say with a grin. “I wouldn’t miss it for the world.” Scotty says giving me a quick squeeze. “What no kiss?” I say with a pout. “Kenzie you know I want to but you want us to be private right now and me kissing you in an airport would definitely not be private.” He says with a chuckle as I scowl while remembering when I told him that.

Chapter 31 part 1----Scotty's POV--
It is December 29 now, and today is the day Bailey and I fly out to New York. I turned on the coffee maker and glanced at the clock on the stove. It is 5 am, and we have about 2 and a half hours before we have to leave to catch our flight. I decided to let Bailey catch some extra sleep, and snuck downstairs to get an early start. Taking a seat at the oak table in the dining room, I opened my laptop and checked my emails. The last couple days have been pretty relaxing, besides a lot of publicity about Bailey and my engagement. Every country newspaper and even some of the top name magazines have been putting in requests for us to be featured in their articles. I hear the coffee maker go off, and I head into the kitchen and pour two cups of coffee. I made each of them with sugar and creamer, and made my way to our bedroom. I set the mug on the small table beside Bailey's side of the bed and place a kiss on her forehead. "Bailey, it's time to get up." I softly say as she slowly opens her eyes and sits up. I smiled as she stretched and let out a yawn. "What time is it?" She asked as I handed her a cup of coffee. "It's around 5:30." I replied as she thanked me by smiling and took a sip of the coffee. "Mmm... Just how I like it." Bailey grinned. I gave her a cheesy smile and sat next to her. "That's because your fiancé is a genius..." I winked. She rolled her eyes and tossed the covers to the side. "He is also a little full of himself." She snapped back stretching and standing to her feet. I chuckled and grabbed my cup of coffee. "Well thanks for the coffee babe. I'm going to get a move on." She replied turning towards the bathroom. I watched her disappear inside and shut the door. Shortly after the door shut, I heard the water running. Standing from the bed I finished my coffee and headed down the stairs and into the kitchen to place my cup in the sink. While I waited for Bailey to finish in the shower, I plopped down on the couch and flipped on the tv. MORE BELOW

Chapter 30 part 2---Bailey's POV-- Scotty's family and I are all sitting at the table enjoying our lunch. I had such a great time skating, even if my feet are aching, and I certainly can't wait to head back to Scotty's parents house to chill on the couch and drink a nice warm mug of hot chocolate. "So Scotty and I have decided on a venue for the wedding." I announced breaking the silence at the table. "Oh really?! Where?!" Ashley asked. "We are goin to have it at Ryman Auditorium." Scotty replied placing his hand on top of mine on the table. I met his eyes as he winked and the rest of his family cheered. "That's a great place to have it!" Judy exclaimed smiling. I nodded as we all went back to eating. Afterwards, we headed back to their house and all took a seat on the couches. Scotty and I sat on the two seater, while Mike and Judy took the three seater, and Ashley took the recliner. "Okay everyone let's open our gifts!" Mike picked up the first gift and handed it to Ashley. He continued passing out the gifts, and then we opened them. I received a few sweaters from Ashley, a nice quilt from Mike and Judy, as well as some nice pots and pans for Scotty and my kitchen. Scotty received some tshirts, and the complete box season set of Duck Dynasty. "Thanks Mike, Judy, and Ashley!" I said smiling giving them all a hug, and then taking my place beside Scotty again. "Okay! Now that we have opened all of our gifts, we figured we are going to start a new tradition!" Mike announced flipping on the tv. "And what is that dad?" Scotty asked reaching over the edge of the couch and grabbed a blanket. He placed it overtop of us, as I glanced down and chuckled. Scotty did the same and blushed. The blanket that he grabbed was his newest Blanket. "Our new tradition is going to be you two coming over every year the day after Christmas, and doing everything we did today. And then we will come home and curl up as a family and watch Christmas movies while drinking hot chocolate." He said proudly as Scotty slipped his hand in mine. MORE BELOW
