SAVE TOI ON SUNSET! 🤘🍜
Dear LA friends, rockers, and anyone who craves incredible Thai food and rock ’n’ roll culture:
Please show some love to my friends Michael and Jackie O’Brien, owners of Toi on Sunset, an iconic piece of Los Angeles history that has been serving the Sunset Strip since 1986. They are struggling, and they need our support.
Toi isn’t just a restaurant. It’s part of the fabric of the Sunset Strip — incredible Thai food surrounded by decades of rock ’n’ roll history, attitude, music, and memories. There’s nothing else like it.
If you can support their GoFundMe (link in bio), please do. If you can’t, go eat! Bring some friends, order dinner, soak up the atmosphere, turn up the rock ’n’ roll, and support a local institution.
Los Angeles has already lost far too many independent, one-of-a-kind places that made this city what it is.
We cannot let another iconic LA establishment disappear.

SAVE TOI ON SUNSET.
Eat local. Preserve LA culture. 🤘❤️🍜#savetoionsunset #rocknthaifood

The iconic Toi on Sunset is celebrating its 40th year. It hosts Artists seven days a week and the best Thai food. Nothing else is like it anywhere in any city. Michael and Jackie the owners have put their heart and soul into the venue since the very beginning and I welcome everyone to come and jump into the vibe

I’m so grateful for my friends Jackie and her husband Michael. They turned me onto Buddhism 🕉️ and it has helped immensely with depression, anxiety and overall anger over the present administration.

They run the best late night restaurants in La… @toionsunset_ They ruined it for me eating anywhere else!!It’s the best Thai food 🥘 Check it out and try the Rockin’ Salmon. #ToiOnSunset #ThaiFood #JackieOBrien #buddhism #RockinSalmon

Thom’s Retirement Celebration
For over 2.5 decades, Thom @rattie77 has been a constant source of inspiration, direction and support in my life. Seeing him celebrated after 35 years as a public defender for the City of Los Angeles filled my heart with gratitude and pride. More than 300 friends, family and colleagues—alongside his husband Aaron Mucksnipe and colleague Lisa—came together to honor a man who has quietly and consistently championed justice, the sober community, civil rights, LGBTQ rights, and the arts. It was beautiful to witness the impact he’s had on so many lives.
Thank you to fellow organizer @jeffbratton, Lisa Roth, @guillaumeblestel, @jefsoubiran, @emilyrose7291, @zebulonla and your entire staff, Stephen Henry, @rdg_lapubdef , and Mariachiarcoiris , Shoutout to our fierce choreographer @iravenmuah, dancers- @poseyxposey, @ianreecepak & @trevorhels, DJ @rushofficial for keeping the energy high, @ladragnuns, @sistermiracle2020, @sistersiriusly and to @botanicaltaxidermy -Nick Beckman for the gorgeous florals. Tom, you continue to inspire all of us—I can’t wait to see what’s next!❤️
