17 climbs. 29,029 ft. One mountain. One mindset. ❤️‍🔥
This weekend I Everested Stratton — 17 ascents, 29,029 feet — and earned the red hat. 🏔️

Each climb took 65 minutes up. Gondola down. Stamp the board. Repeat. Seventeen times until I hit the height of Everest, in under 26 hours.

Mud, sleet, rain, 3 a.m. darkness… it was raw, relentless and real.

The best part? Reconnecting with @jackieolsontx after 15 years, and multiple knee surgeries (for both of us) later 🙃 and sharing every gritty moment. I even ran into @erwinv99 on the mountain, a fellow (actual) Everest summiteer, proving that the world really is small!

The @29029everesting crew set the bar high. From @marc29029’s leadership and @thekylepeasefoundation keynote - the mountain was alive with purpose and possibility. 🙌

Here’s to the red hat and the people who keep climbing. 🔥

29029’

You know when you meet someone, and years later they come back into your life for the most unexpected reason? That just happened to me.

I worked with @jackieolsontx for years at IBM on the Mergers & Acquisitions team. We had so much fun with due diligence and integrations. Then life took us in different directions when we both left the company.

Out of the blue, she invited me to join her for a 29029 Everesting challenge (because who isn’t up for a challenge?!). One thing we already had in common? Knee surgeries… yep, those knees of ours!

Everesting has an amazing community of like-minded people. A SoCal group met to hike the Skyline trail in Palm Springs—people training for Everesting events at Whistler, Snowbasin, and Stratton (which Jackie and I will be tackling).

So, on top of reconnecting with Jackie, I made new friends who are all training for their own Everesting adventures.

Thanks to my SoCal crew, our day was “Skyline hard” and “Skyline perfect!” I loved meeting all of you.

Good luck to the rest of the Everesting groups training for their upcoming challenges.

Here’s to Stratton—October 23-26!
