Last night was probably my proudest moment in comedy so far. Raising a load of money for @mssocietyuk just by having a good laugh.

Thankyou to everyone who came, bought raffle tickets and donated prizes.

This is Tom, my brother, and he's the reason why we wanted to put this night on. And I'm so happy that we can make some good out of this situation 🧡

We managed to get one of the best line ups I've ever seen, massive thankyou to this amazing group of brilliant comics and even better people.

We gave away a load of raffle prizes too including a skydive and a £25 Greggs Voucher. COME ON. Thankyou to everyone who donated gifts, we managed to raise over £600 through the raffle alone.

We will get get rid of this bloody disease 🧡

35. Some Nerve! A Fundraiser in Aid of the MS Society (w/ Jack McLean, Hayley Ellis, Hannah Margaret, Frankie Monroe & BONUS IVO!) @ Glee, Leeds.

A return flying visit to Leeds, with a new venue to cross off my list!

This one was booked on a day I went a little mad as Ivo put all his autumn tour dates out. So glad I went and did have a lovely time!

While the show had the name Ivo came up with for his London shows, he wasn’t hosting - that honour went to Jack McLean (whose brother has MS, like Ivo’s mum), who did a brilliant job chatting to a few weird characters throughout the night.

Our lineup was Rhys’ support from back home last week, Hayley Ellis (she doesn’t live far from me!), Hannah Margaret (who I saw as part of the Well Funny Live lineup a few months ago), Frankie Monroe (Yorkshire’s Biggest Bastard!!) & of course… Ivo!!

Ivo covered his fave orangey things, getting the Leeds United cards out while telling us about his weekend in Barcelona and that today is his mum & dad’s 40th anniversary!! 🧡

If you’ve seen Ivo’s stories today, bloody hell. That boy never has a dull moment, bless him. Was pleased to see my orangey fave, but sadly no catchup (last train home for him!) and my front row streak was broken! 😭

I had a quick lovely chat with our host Jack on the way out - he’d supported Rhys last week too! Also spoke to the man looking after the MS Society stand, who said he’d come all the way from North Wales!

Throughout the night, I was thinking of the MS warrior and lovely human that is @phoebecharlotteday who I’ve become chums with in the last few months through our mutual support of Ivo. Support the MS Society if you can! 🧡

🎤 Meet your opening night acts: Jack McLean

Straight out of Hull, Jack was crowned Hull New Comedian of the Year 2022 and Yorkshire Comedy Awards Best Breakthrough Act 2023, then made his TV debut as a semi-finalist on the BBC New Comedy Awards 2023. 📺
Expect a top-tier moustache, a loud jumper, a notepad and plenty of laughs. 👀
