CHAMPIONS. 🏆
What a ride for the RSGC Knights! From the first tip-off at CAIS to the final buzzer in the championship, this squad showed heart, resilience, and a culture that sets us apart.
We started strong at CAIS, going undefeated in our group. Henry JD dropped 30, Jerry Li dominated with 17 and 10, and the team was rolling. A tough OT loss to TCS in the semis after a game-tying buzzer-beater from Henry JD was a setback, but we knew the real goal was CISAA.
We opened the season with a statement win vs. HSC. Then came the TCS rematch, and we got our revenge—an 11-point win led by NMD Elliott. A loss to Appleby was a wake-up call, but we bounced back with three straight wins, featuring Adam Shishler lighting it up from three. A tough final game vs. Greenwood saw Hunter Gibson swatting 8 shots.
In the playoffs, we locked in. A 40-point quarterfinal win vs. HSC set the tone, with big performances from Will Xie (7 pts), Ethan Pacaud (7 & 7), and Henry Sondheimer (9 & 8).
The semifinal vs. Greenwood was a war, a 61-51 battle with chaos all around. Troy forgot his shoes (shoutout Mr. Smith for saving the day), and Jake & Freeman got stuck in an elevator. Nothing was stopping us from the final.
Then came the championship game. A hostile Appleby crowd, obnoxious chants, and a drum banging all game. But we locked in, elite defense, clutch buckets, and ice in our veins.
Shoutout to our seniors, Victor Duong, Adam Shishler, Jake Renaud, Henry Sondheimer, Ethan Pacaud, and Billy Kanellopoulos—for leading the way. And of course, Coach Ruscitti & Coach Sarellas for building this amazing culture.
This isn’t just a team, it’s a family. See you next year for the 3-peat. ⚔️🏀
