Here’s to the magic that happens behind the scenes. To all the people who helped us get to the finish-line (you can’t postpone an opening) you’ve made the process just as rewarding as the endgame. A bit of blood, a lot of sweat and a couple tears were shed along the way, and ABSOLUTELY worth every drop. Let’s rock and roll and keep making wondrous things come to life. Thank you!

🖼️ Land/Sea/Sky 🖼️ (post 1 of 3)

Fronteer Gallery is delighted to present 'Land/Sea/Sky', a group exhibition featuring 50 UK based artists, each looking at the land the sea and the sky in a variety of artistic styles and disciplines.

This exhibition is a celebration of landscapes in all their forms, and allows artists to explore not only the beauty of nature, but also utilise landscapes as a vehicle for nostalgia, portraiture, travel, symbolism, portraiture and our relationship with the world around us.

You can catch 'Land/Sea/Sky' until 3rd September. We're open 11-4 Tuesdays - Thursdays and 2.15-5.15 Saturdays.

Please DM me with any sales enquiries and, as ever, if you're an artist and I haven't tagged you, let me know 🎨

Congratulations to all the English Riviera Summer Open Award winners! One day, we'll persuade a wealthy patron to give us enough money that you can all have a prize, but for now it's just this summer's overall winner Rhian Wyn Harrison walking away with some 💷💷💷 and the rest of you will just have to enjoy that warm fuzzy feeling of knowing we picked you.

(If we didn't pick you, you should still feel warm and fuzzy, honestly I don't know why we started doing awards, it's so stressful having to pick 😫)

Big thank you to Alex Hyams of Miligans Ltd for taking the pressure off and being our guest judge this year 👌

Here they are again, the awardees:

🖌️Contemporary Practice Award - Oliver Castledine, Tresco

🖌️Sculptural Practice Award - Yvette Cobley, Hyena

🖌️Innovative Practice Award - Clare Stephens, Two’s Company

🖌️Traditional Practice Award - Naomi Hulatt, Lazy Days

🖌️English Riviera Open Award (selected by Alex Hyams, Milligan Ltd) - Rhian Wyn Harrison, The Eyes Have It - Owls

🖌️Honourable Mentions - Keeley Joyce, I’m Jazz; Elizabeth Murphy, Sea Surface Full of Clouds III; Louise Wiseman, Glimpses II; Jack Brook, The Righteous Clown
