Howard University Homecoming is more than just a weekend of turning up. It’s our opportunity to fellowship with classmates and lifelong friends who understand this journey, or as some call it, “The Howard Haze.”

Howard has been one of my most important and best life decisions and each time I return “home” I’m reminded of it.

As the years go by, Howard Homecoming holds even more meaning to me. I’m reminded of who I was when i first stepped on the campus, to the person i am now.

I began my photography journey at Howard, and I always looking forward to documenting the energy and the people that make this place “home.”

Dad’s just doing dad stuff 🥹 Not my typical Father’s Day post. No aesthetic, no pre planned coordination & yet, it’s moments like these that stick with me the most. Hearing the kids cheer for their dads, August wanting to copy everything Elijah does, & stopping for the hat, because he knows dad always has a hat & he n e e d s it. Hearing Elijah encourage our son, and make a big deal about his effort to return the hat. It’s such a small moment, like truly, only 1 minute of our lives, but moments like these are always happening and compounding and the common denominator is that Elijah is just there. He’s present, making the small moments feel big to our boys, & I look forward to how big the big moments are going to feel. I’m so grateful for the father my husband is, and I’m just so proud of him every day, and in awe of how he balances being a loving father, while staying tough on them & shaping them to be good men. Motherhood is a different kind of hard, but it’s not lost on me how hard the fatherhood gig is. Y’all can keep that 🤣 Happy Father’s Day baby ❤️‍🔥
