@kamplovetamu_, I will never get over it! Let these days be an Ebeneezer of a God who is mighty to save! Lives were radically transformed by the gospel this weekend - and I pray it never stops! Where the spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom!

a semester where my laugh got louder, hugs were tighter, and trust in the Lord magnified!

all because of these people + more!! 💗👊

Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken. My victory and honor come from God alone. He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me. O my people, trust in Him at all times. Pour out your heart to Him, for God is our refuge.

Invest in the few, to impact the many.

————————————————————————

The slow, steady, faithful process of discipleship. Dedicated students in the way of Jesus, our teacher. I follow you as you follow Christ. Now follow me, as I follow Christ. Now invite others to follow you, as you follow Christ. Rinse and repeat until Jesus returns.

The work of discipleship is found on the way.

It’s on the way to grocery shopping or a haircut. It’s on the way to dating or in marriage. It’s on the way to church or your favorite restaurant.

The 7 AM discipleship group with freshman boys at Panera. The coffee shop heart dump about a recent break up with tears in the latte. The late night prayer on the carpeted apartment floor begging for a move of God. A phone call taken and a flight caught just to get proximity. A bill picked up at their favorite restaurant. A road trip ahead and a “wanna jump in and come along?” An honest confession of sin met with a loving, “God forgives you and there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” A set of mannerisms in voice inflection and hand movements matched because of so much time together.

Investing in the few to impact the many means that at the end of your life, you get to look a few people in the eye and say “I really knew you. You really knew me. We really knew God, together. Didn’t we? Thank you, God for my brother / sister!”

It would have made more sense to me if Jesus spent all his time in the synagogues teaching large crowds of Jews and gentiles to teach them his ways. The more people hear the message, the more impact. Right?

Seemingly, I’d be incredibly wrong. Jesus picked 12. And then really picked 3. And then was actually all alone in his last days. But then set 11 on fire. 1 of them got up and preached and 3,000 got saved. A few more of them died for their teacher’s mission. The crowds he taught didn’t die for Him. The few he invested into did.

Make disciples. Reject event addition. Walk the tight rope of the narrow path to multiplication.

Invest in the few, to impact the many.

how could I ask for more when I’ve already been given so much?
