Instead of hitting the weak house party, student-athletes squared off late Friday night at historic Sunnyside Church gym in SE PDX. Everyone in this video plays college ball 🏀🤝

Hoops in the Park’s goal isn’t to be one of the best runs in the city, but it’s clearly part of the process 📈

Last fall we launched @meadowparkbasketball with the mission to break the mold of today’s grassroots basketball by creating an inclusive, high quality development opportunity where young people - regardless of background or skill level - can play, grow, connect, and compete.

A year in, we’re confident in what we’ve delivered for those in our community. And as we look back on these photos from last fall, launching more offerings and making plans to continue our growth, we are filled with gratitude and excitement at what is ahead.

For those who have poured into our village, THANK YOU.

For those looking for a place to compete to grow, not just win, come join us this fall. Players, come work. Coaches, come invest. Parents, entrust us to give your child something different from the status quo!

Yesterday marked the end of an era. Coaching my last game with @jackson_freeman8 was a tough one—after spending every offseason together since he was 12 years old, knowing this run is over hits hard. Jackson was right there with me when I started my AAU coaching journey, and watching his evolution over the years has been one of the highlights of my coaching career.

Through every high and low, Jackson stayed resilient. He locked in, trusted the process, and earned his role as a two-year starter @lakeoswegombb, putting up big-time numbers his senior year and filling the stat sheet:

12.1 PPG
4.1 RPG
2.6 APG

Now, the hard work pays off: Jackson is officially committed to play college basketball for @pccpanthersmbb! 🏀🐾

He joins @roman.perry23 (@prattmensbasketball), @elijah.casey1 (@redwoodsmensbball), and @r.durbin11 (@linfieldmbb) as guys from that 2026 PSB squad who earned college offers through their relentless work. Seeing this group reach the next level together makes it all worth it.

Jackson—man, I’m going to miss our time on the floor together. But I couldn’t be prouder of the player and person you’ve become. Excited to witness your continued growth from the sidelines and support you always.

Next stop: Portland Community College! 🔵🔴
