Some fun BTS photos from the making of our rig tour video. ✨ We had a distinct idea for what we wanted the tour to look and feel like. To help us achieve “the look” we asked if @jacksoncasimiro would be up to coming out to help us film it. It was a blast to spend two days getting creative with a third team member because we usually shoot alone. Thanks Jackson for always bringing your unique eye to our work ❤️

We had been traveling primarily abroad across Mexico and Europe for over 6 years when we finally made our way back last summer. International overland traveling in many ways can be a very lonely way of life. We rarely spoke to native English speakers and although it taught us to find ways to communicate with people from anywhere and learn about their way of life, we missed the feeling of being in our own community. Last summer we got a heavy dose of exactly that.

Back in our North American traveling days, meeting up on the road with other full-time travelers was a common occurrence. In fact, it was often be a bit overwhelming and forced us to find a balance in solitude. The truth is, most of our traveling friends from back then have ended their nomadic lifestyle. We needed to find new friends.

Overland Expo West 2022 is where we found our new people. A new group of kindred spirits we had only known from peering through our gorilla-glass-clad, handheld supercomputers. Among them were Lindbergh and Karissa. They were showcasing their Toyota Landcruiser Troopy alongside our van in the Dometic booth. This summer we had the fortune of crossing paths with them again at Overland Expo PNW and when they asked us to participate in their new web series, we couldn't have been happier to oblige.

I don't have a link or any other footage to show you yet about the episode we shot with them over a weekend in the mountains of Big Bear, but we had a beautiful time and shared many meals and conversations about life on the road as well as our common experiences growing up in immigrant families in America. We are still a couple of months away but we will make sure to share the link to this fun project we did with them as soon as it is ready for the world.

WE’RE MAKING A CAMP COOKING SHOW!!

We’re very excited to announce that we’re working with @xoverland to produce an eight episode original series exclusively for their network called GON COOKIN’!

I mean, y’all saw that name coming from about thirty-thousand miles away, right??

The show centers around the idea that whatever you can make at home, you can make at camp.

Each episode will feature a guest where we will get to know them and their incredible food stories. Some of these which you might already recognize! Like @chefanietea, @bound.for.nowhere, and @ovrlndx!

We’re currently deep in production right now. We’ve been traveling, filming, writing scripts, and spending a lot of time in the editing room. As still photographers, video is a very new to us. But, we’re thrilled to be telling these stories and can’t wait for y’all to watch!

Pinch us. It feels like we’re dreaming.

Surprise! We have the most exciting announcement! The trailer for our new series will premiere tonight at 6pm PST on YouTube with the series premiere on March 5th! I feel like at this rate there are a lot of jokes that could be made about the series name but we actually named it a long time before it took us a long time to make. 🤣 Truly we’re over the moon to be here at this phase of the production as are wildly proud of what we’ve made.
