After many months my set from the last Jackson Tree is now available on SoundCloud ❤️ (yes, that is me crying at the decks during the ceremonial burning of the Jackson Tree sign 😭💞)

This was the most emotional set I've ever played. It was the closing set of the very last Jackson Tree. 10 glorious years of art in the desert coming to an end. The sunrise sky was as gorgeous as it's always been. Jackson Trees hold some of the best memories of my life so far. A bunch of fun-seeking dreamers dancing together in the desert. I'll always look back at this era of Jackson Trees feeling incredibly grateful to have been a part of it.

With my whole heart, thank you @jacksoncollective for enriching my life the way you have.

This set was very experimental and eclectic because, again, Jackson Tree has always held space for me to expand and experiment. The music alone cannot capture the feels shared between us all who were there, but it lives on in our memory 💗🫂🏜️🎶

It’s hard to imagine putting our 16 years of friendship into one final goodbye letter, so here it goes I guess…

I remember meeting you in the study rooms of Mater Dei, and quickly becoming friends. Those days turned into late nights filled with cod and halo lobbies chorused by obscenities and laughter.

We both graduated and attended CSUF, where we once again quickly reconnected in the gym over our shared love of music and DJ’ing. College was then filled with countless house parties, shows, festivals and more that proceeded to merge our worlds in ways I couldn’t foresee the impact at the time. You intro’d me to @crescentclique and the formidable @jacksoncollective , two groups that became some of my closest peers. I intro’d you to my college fam through Vibe Tribe, and the result was one big crazy family of friends that would embark on so many wild adventures for the next 10+ years.

I can’t count how many times we had DJ’d together, but each one was electric and fresh as the last. You shared a similar respect for digging and the craft as a whole that few touring professionals do. And as my journey as an artist grew more and more, you were there every step of the way. Unconditionally.

I think thats why you connected with so many of us. You gave everyone unconditional love and you ALWAYS were unapologetically yourself. No matter where we went, you were the best dressed and the most suave guy in the room. A true fashionista in every sense of the word. You were never too full of yourself, and your charisma and laugh would always fill the room with smiles no matter where we were.

I still hear that goofy laugh today, and I am once again crying at the absence of that warm feeling. You truly were one in a million, and the world is left in a far worse place without it. But I know you’re somewhere out there, guiding the sounds and the fashion in ways no one else could.

I love you so much brother. We will forever miss your presence, and we will never forget it.

Our fist camping trip together was something truly magical ✨⛺️

Connecting with nature and seeing the signs and messages in the little things, the way we talk about life and interpret our surroundings, I love the way you think, so many good conversations, you expand my mind and my vision, I see myself and life more clearly

The caterpillars that go through metamorphosis, the moths that look like hummingbirds, the ladybugs that bring good luck, so much beauty we notice together.

The hummingbird moth is a daylight moth and we were surrounded by them. This symbolizes the joy and playfulness in nature, the light seekers finding truth admits the darkness, the actions needed for personal growth, and the prosperity and good fortune in future opportunities. All the things we are calling in.

Planning everything, making sure we had all our gear, setting up camp was all a test to see how we could work together. Sleeping under the stars, being in nature, relaxing into each other was a testament to the life we want to build. Our playfulness, thoughtfulness, and resilience in the elements shows our commitment to the kind of relationship we are creating.

I am so excited for our future camping trips to come and the memories and experiences we will share together. You are truly an amazing partner. I am so blessed to have you in my life @iamcoldlight 🫶🏽
