LETS ALL LOVE bôa
I first fell in love with Serial Experiments Lain back in high school, and that’s how I discovered bôa. “Duvet” was the first song I ever heard from you, and somehow, this little band became the soundtrack to my high school years and all the exams, stress, and uncertainty that came with them.

“Worry,” released in 2024, holds a special place in my heart. During one of the most stressful periods of my academic life, listening to it helped me ease the pressure of figuring out my future. As an engineering student, there were so many moments when I felt overwhelmed by exams and everything that lay ahead, but your music always gave me a little space to breathe.

And now, after all these years, I finally got to hear you perform live in Shanghai. 🥲 Hearing these songs in person, songs that have been with me through so many different stages of my life, was an incredibly emotional experience. It felt like meeting an old friend who had been there all along, even without knowing it.

Thank you, Jasmine. Thank you, bôa, for being part of my growing up. Some music never really leaves you — it just grows up with you. 🖤

Ah me and my wonderful mama from the @theirnibs launch and an auspicious day to post as it’s her birthday today. Happy birthday, ma!

Aside from wearing pyjamas I’ve also been on stage for my last band show of the year @glastonburyabbey. My black dress broke just before showtime and my heels accidentally got left out of my bag (by me!) so maybe it’s time for a rest 🤣 but leotard under a coat and little @carelparis flats for the win.

Shoutout to my band and crew who all went home with framed tour posters from the incredible Perimenopopping we’ve been doing on the road around the globe.

Scroll to the end to see how I also assisted Mickey (7) in his little stormtrooper snow scene. We now have no flour but it’s ok. ☺️❤️

Another incredible Summer season touring with @sophieellisbextor all over UK and Europe comes to an end.
So many fun gigs with the best team ever and the loudest crowds.
Thanks so much to the amazing photographers that took some of these pics, trying to tag as many as possible, apologies for those I forgot or I don’t know who they are!

Back from our summer holiday and straight into 5 shows last week 🩷 we did quite the mini UK tour 🤣 Manchester, Wakefield, Silverstone, Harlow and Newcastle all in 5 days 💃 We got lucky again with the weather - still no rain for any shows this season! Thank you for singing and dancing with us @carfestevent @tileyard_north @humanleaguehq and Harlow Town

Huge thanks to @smaconcerto for making sure I got a setlist after @sophieellisbextor 's gig at @tileyard_north . It survived the downpour and the trip home, crinkly but undamaged.

So many happy memories from Tileyard and Carfest! Here are a few:

Tileyard memories:

Early on in the Tileyard show, Sophie waved, and while I'm not sure if she was waving at me, or the young gentleman next to me, or someone else entirely, I waved back very enthusiastically nonetheless!

At the end of Groovejet, Sophie said "chick-chick-ah". Long story short, until 2025 the only version of Groovejet I knew was the 2002 live cut which includes the "chick-chick-ah" at the end. So after she did that at the end of Groovejet at Tileyard, my "WOO!" was very enthusiastic indeed! I was basically screaming haha. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Singing along at the top of my lungs! I haven't done much singing lately, doing so at the show gave me life ❤️ (Sorry to my neighbors who had to listen to me the whole show 😅 )

It was so amazing to finally get to join in on all the crowd participation bits, Heartbreak jumping, Not Giving Up phone light, Get Over You singing, the Altogether, etc 💃🏻

Honestly just seeing Sophie doing what she loves to do, in the moment, was uplifting in a way you just can't get from listening to recordings or watching videos. My first ever time seeing Sophie and the gang perform, it was so special!

Meeting Sophie afterward, even briefly, was more than I had dared to hope for and I'm so happy!

Carfest memories:

A rainbow before Sophie's set 🌈 (bit hard to see in my picture, the rainbow is at the bottom left.) And the rain stayed away while she performed!

Lovely sunset throughout her set 🌅☺️

She said one of her kids wants to become a race car driver so she asked the parents of the crowd for advice on how to deal with that 😅

Kids were doing cartwheels up front, Sophie complimented them! 🥹

Bubble machines! Sophie got one from the crowd and was making bubbles on stage, see photo 9 🫧

All in all I had an amazing time. It's been a rough year for me and this trip was so healing. I'm so glad I went. Can't wait until next tour!
