As summer comes to a close, we're looking back with so much gratitude!!

This season took our Upper Cumberland Young Life family all over the country (literally). From work crew and summer staff to interns and volunteers, our people spent their summers serving wherever God called them.

Not every week went exactly as planned. There were unexpected changes, long days, and challenges we couldn't have anticipated. But through it all, God remained faithful! New friendships were formed, lives were impacted, and countless students experienced the love of Jesus.

We're incredibly proud of every person who gave part of their summer to serve. As everyone heads home and settles back into everyday rhythms, we're celebrating all that God has done this summer and praying that what He started in the hearts of students and leaders will continue long after camp has ended. Here's to summer!! 💛

Thank you Jesus for these past three weeks! It has been such a joy to see God work through my friends and all the campers that I was able to interact with. Being a horse wrangler was difficult in all the right ways. I left learning more about myself and more about what it means to be a son of God. I can’t thank Crooked Creek enough for the opportunity. I couldn’t recommend summer staff enough!

Leaving this camp with a full heart and a better understanding of what it means to serve!!! This month was filled with abundant joy! Crooked gave me a different perspective on the life we’re living and I couldn’t be more grateful. The friendships, the scenery, the campers, ugh just so so wonderful and truly a glimpse of heaven. These three weeks were filled with uncrustables, friendship bracelets, infinite electrolyte packets, laughter, chipmunks in cabins, thousands of fraps, and a whole lot of hugs. Don’t ask me if I’m happy to be home bc I will probably start crying! GOD IS GOOD!!!!! So very thankful for getting the opportunity to spread the joy of Jesus through serving these campers!
