•My 12 Takeaways from RYLA•

1. The best moments weren’t planned, they just happened.
2. Being surrounded by the right people makes you exhale.
3. Leadership can look like laughter, listening, and late talks.
4. You don’t need to impress when you feel accepted.
5. Growth feels lighter when it’s shared.
6. The smallest conversations can mean the most.
7. Feeling seen changes how you show up.
8. Confidence grows in spaces that feel safe.
9. Presence matters more than perfection.
10. Westminster college food is really good (personally) #miss the yogurt
11. Joy and depth can exist at the same time.
12. Be you. Be the leader you know you can be and when that feels too heavy “ look at the staircase step by step not the whole staircase”

My biggest take away is when judgment disappears, so does the pressure to perform. You stop editing yourself, second-guessing your words, or shrinking parts of who you are to fit in. In spaces without judgment, you don’t have to prove anything you just get to be. And that freedom makes authenticity feel natural instead of brave. So let’s be a bit more gentle with each human you meet because there is so much more behind what they are showing.

When I first signed up for RYLA I didn’t expect to actually go, but when I was told I was going I wasn’t nervous I was so excited. And I’m so glad I went this was honestly the best summer week I’ve ever had. I meet so many people and made new friends and memories I will never forget. I learned so much from all of the great speakers we had. I will always fit in with you guys ❤️
