Join Executive Producer Liesel Mwiseneza, Class of 2027, as she goes behind the scenes of “GO!” - a new percussive fusion piece by JU dance major Alyssa Harrell. By combing traditional rap footwork with live drumsticks and house-style movement, Harrell transforms the stage into a living instrument.

Watch how the performers master counter-rhythms and upper-body percussion to bring a fresh light to the Jacksonville University dance department.

Friday Class Series @jacksonvilleudance 🐬💚✨

These classes are designed to bring in different voices, movement practices, and experiences that enhance the students who are studying dance.

For the past year, I’ve had the honor of serving as a guest artist at JU, offering Hip Hop and House workshops that invite students to explore fundamentals, freestyle, and choreography to help develop their own sense of artistry.

It’s been truly a joy to come and exchange with these students!

Thank you, @bap557 , for having me be apart of the dance program experiences!

💛 A throw back repeat to March and a wonderful day at @jacksonvilleudance where I had the opportunity to teach a masterclass in gender-neutral partnering. ✨ So grateful to share this approach with these terrific students and explore connection, communication, and the freedom to lead and follow beyond traditional gender roles.

A huge thank you to @bap557 for bringing me in and making this experience possible! ✨
