This is what development looks like when nobody is watching.

Learn the language. Learn the technique. Understand the why. Then remove the answers.

Now you have to scan. Communicate. Decide. Defend. Attack. Transition. Solve problems. And do it all at game speed.

Repetition has its place. But the game doesn’t tell you what’s coming next.

That’s what I love about the way Liam trains Tyler. He teaches the tools, creates the environment, adds pressure and then makes Tyler figure out which tool the moment requires.

And having his brothers in the backyard makes the environment even more real. Jack and Caden aren’t cones. They move. They react. They make different decisions. They create problems.

That’s the work.

Not chasing perfection in a drill.

Building a goalkeeper who can think when the game becomes imperfect.

This is the backyard. This is the process.

What if they don’t make it?

What if none of my boys ever become professional soccer players?

Would I regret the time? The money? The miles? The thousands of hours spent on fields?

Not for a second.

Because if we do this right, soccer is simply the vehicle.

They’re learning how to work when something is hard.
How to fail and come back.
How to be coached.
How to communicate.
How to compete.
How to stay disciplined when nobody is watching.
How to believe in themselves while still remaining hungry enough to grow.

They’re building strong bodies and stronger minds.

And along the way, they’re building relationships with people like Liam who believe in them, push them, encourage them, laugh with them, and demand more from them because they know what they’re capable of.

But maybe my favorite part is that we’re doing it together.

Brothers training beside brothers.
A family traveling, learning, winning, losing, laughing and growing together.

Someday the games will stop.

The cleats will eventually come off.

And whether soccer takes them to the highest level or simply prepares them for whatever comes next, none of this will have been wasted.

Because the goal was never just to build better soccer players.

It was to use this game we love to help build strong young men.

And if we accomplish that…

NEW CLUB.
NEW SEASON.
NEW CHALLENGES.
SAME MINDSET.

“Every day provides a new opportunity to get even better.”
— Erling Haaland

Last year was one we’ll always be grateful for.

At Inter Atlanta, Tyler was part of a team that climbed as high as #2 in the nation, and Jack helped his team reach #4 nationally. Those experiences shaped them as players, but more importantly, they shaped them as teammates, competitors, and young men.

This season isn’t about chasing another ranking.

It’s about choosing growth.

The best players don’t become great because they stay where they’re comfortable. They become great because they’re willing to hear a new voice, embrace a new challenge, compete with new teammates, and learn skills they didn’t have yesterday. Research on deliberate practice consistently shows that meaningful improvement comes from working on the edge of your current abilities—not simply repeating what you already do well.

That’s why we’re excited about Concorde Fire.

New coaches. New teammates. New expectations. New opportunities to become more complete footballers.

As brothers, getting to begin that journey together makes it even more special.

At Raising Ballers, we’ve always believed that trophies fade, rankings change, and jerseys come and go.

Character stays.

Be coachable. Be curious. Ask questions. Stay humble enough to learn and confident enough to compete.

Because the goal has never been to become the best player on one team.

The goal is to become the kind of player who can walk into any environment, adapt, learn, lead, and perform.

Growth over comfort.
Development over trophies.
The work continues.

🔥 Welcome to the next chapter. Concorde Fire.
