Psyched! Radio San Francisco is 100% independent and volunteer-run, built by and for the Bay’s music community. We do not rely on bogus corporate funding or billionaire-backed unethical groups. For four years, we have supported the San Francisco and Oakland music scenes from the ground up, presenting year-round shows, working with venues across both cities, and helping more than 1,000 bands get heard. We have helped artists go on tour, reach new audiences, get signed to major labels, and we have signed some ourselves through Psyched! Records. We have also created real space for international artists during increasingly difficult immigration years and helped put the San Francisco and Oakland music scenes back on the international map. Through Psyched! Fest and our programming, we have brought people into venues, generated money for the Bay Area, and strengthened the local music ecosystem. Our Spring Fundraising Drive runs April 7 through April 21, with a $5000 matching goal from an anonymous donor. Donate and help us keep building independent culture.

Public radio survives because of you. Unlike commercial stations, we don’t have deep-pocketed advertisers or endless resources—we rely on community support to stay on the air.

Every broadcast, every live show, every voice you hear is made possible by donations from listeners who believe in independent media. Without that support, stations like ours face constant funding shortfalls that threaten local news, music, and culture.

If you value having a public radio station that reflects your community, now is the time to step up.

Donate today at kpcr.org/join and help keep Pirate Cat Radio on the air for Los Gatos, Santa Cruz, and yes, even Portland.
