Some snippets from WSG 2026 taken by @jackxmeyn from @getthatsk8 .

Again thanks everyone for the follow and support, throughout this whole journey. The words and messages meant a lot, thanks everyone who helped make this happen. Especially @stephenenglebrecht @ Ruby's unwavering support. I had one hell of a time with friends and family. I'm looking forward to the next event, and even though - I unfortunately didn't make it through the rounds as far as I wanted.. it was an unimaginable experience in all aspects. I learnt so much and I improved so much. You never stop learning no matter whatever you're at! At least I've come out in once piece 😆. My last world event was in Australia in 2012. And that was the last time I raced and did downhill skateboarding.

Been back just 11 months now after 13 years off!

Another World Skate event in Thailand next month🇹🇭 . Hoping weather holds up ok for everything to go forward there ! ⛈️

@hopkin_skate @beanypanya wouldn't be here in the first place without them to reignite the fire 🔥

World Skate Games ASU 2026 so far. One more day to go

⚡️WSG Slalom – Practice Day⚡️

The day started really well, Everyone noticed the road was a lot more slippery than expected because of the extra dust and dirt that's been around after recent rain. But as the day progressed, the track cleaned up and a lot more grip came through as people ran through the cones. It was cool to see everyone getting the hang of the track, and the mood was great as the crew were getting dialed in.

We had to stop for a bit when some rain came through, and were still getting light sprinkles every now and again, but it was fairly consistently sunny, so it dried up quickly. Talking to the aussies, most riders were still dialling in their setups with a few small changes to feel more confident on the hill. It was a great start to the day and the competition.

Moving into the afternoon block, everyone started adjusting to the hybrid course. It was a bit of a surprise to see it featured mainly offsets rather than inline cones, so it demanded a lot of turning and pumping. That caught the team a little off guard, especially on a steeper gradient than most are used to, and it really pushed the limits of a lot of riders' ability. Only a few competitors made it down the whole course without hitting a cone, and we saw a lot of time penalties and potential DQs from riders across the world. Our riders did really well but were still not able to get down clean on their innitial runs.
Unfortunately, weather came in and brought the event to a complete stop. There was lots of waiting, and only a few people got more than one run, which was frustrating since everyone was still learning the course. After waiting it out the rain never let up so the day finished before we could get into practising on the tight slalom course.

Despite the small amount of practice the team is stoked and keen to begin the competition with Giant Slalom tomorrow.

All live streams will be shared on our stories, please check it out and support the crew!

Massive thanks to all supporters of this years team at the world skate games

Finally home and rested after an incredible time with @worldskategames in Asunción, Paraguay. A huge thanks goes out to @enumbert @haxmeaton and the rest of the team for bringing me down to South America to help out with the @wsgasu26. Producing downhill races is incredibly challenging. And, doing it on a different continent, in a foreign country, with massive language and cultural barriers makes it so much harder. Very proud of what this team was able to accomplish.

This event was on a scale like nothing I’ve ever seen before in downhill. And, despite my racing career being over for the time being, I’m very grateful that I still get to connect with my community through events like these.

Until next friends. Y todos mis novias, espero volver a verlos algún día 🫶🫶

Don’t stop believing in your dreams.

This one is for the kid who used to save his school lunch money to buy skate magazines in Brazil back in the 90s and 00s.

And it’s for every creative who has ever doubted themselves or wondered if they were good enough.

I’m beyond stoked that 5 of my pictures made it into the Top 750 semifinalist images at the Illume Awards, selected from more than 15,000 submissions by incredibly talented photographers from around the world.

It honestly feels unreal.

Creative people doubt themselves all the time. We convince ourselves that we’re not good enough or that our dreams are too far out of reach.

But I’ve learned that if you put your head down, work hard, be nice to people and become a little more present in your own life, some pretty amazing things start happening right in front of your eyes.

You just have to be there to capture them.

Surround yourself with people who are better than you. People who inspire you, challenge you, support you and believe in what you’re trying to build. Sometimes, they believe in your dreams before you fully believe in them yourself.

None of this would have happened without the people I love and those who have supported me along the way. You know who you are. ❤️

And to that kid back in the 90s and 00s, spending all his savings and all his time going through skate magazines:

Skateboarding and photography are going to change your life.

They’re going to teach you about resilience.

They’re going to teach you that collecting moments is far more important than collecting things.

They’re going to take you to places you could never have imagined, allow you to experience some of the most incredible moments of your life and introduce you to amazing people who will become part of your story forever.

Just keep believing.

It’s all going to work out.

Thank you, @theillumeawards and all the judges, for this incredible recognition.

You’ve made an old skate kid really, really stoked. ❤️

Now… fingers crossed for the finals. 🤞
