A long overdue look behind the scenes at our coming-of-age feature film, Pace Yourself, shot in Austin last summer!

This movie is a love letter to a city, a school, and its people that I hold so dearly in my heart.🤘

It’s a story for those still standing in their own way. For those still trying to figure it all out, whatever the hell that even means…

Completing my first feature length film was a massive milestone on so many levels. I often think about how it felt being on this set. It reminded me why I even bother pursuing this wild profession in the first place. The fun, joyous, and exhilarating rush of creating something that moves people. There’s no better feeling.

And the cherry on top was walking away with new friends for life. 🫶

Can’t wait for y’all to watch :) coming 🔜

This past weekend, “There’s a Klansman in the Trunk!” took home the award for Best Ensemble Cast at Dream Con in Houston!! It’s amazing how this film is still reaching new audiences, and I’m honored by the recognition. Shout out my goated cast for delivering fantastic performances!!! Looking forward to the next Dream Con — the marathon continues🫡🫡

That’s a wrap! (kinda)

This past weekend I got to screen my first feature film, “Pace Yourself” for a private wrap party screening. It was one of the most surreal experiences of my life, truth be told. I will never forget the feeling of joy, cringe, relief, excitement, and shock caused by watching this project with such a group.

I owe so much to the amazing cast of this film: Leah, Jacob, Zack, Sara, Trevor, and Ella. As well as Joe Finfer and Garett Rojas. Every single one of you has talent that deserves to be recognized and celebrated. Thank you for trust me and agreeing to be part of this insane endeavor.

To my crew, oh god. This would not have been possible without each and every one of you. From my DP Luke for all of their hard work, to my wardrobe team Mikaya and Piper, to the producers Tim and Jack, production designer Ava, and the AD department, sound, G&E, goated script supervisor, and PAs - you all showed up for this project and I am so grateful. Thank you. Post production team department heads: Ellie and Alyssa. Couldn’t have asked for a better duo to spearhead this monster of a post production process. Thank you as well.

This project wouldn’t have existed without the help of the people that continued to support and motivate me. To all the people that gave notes on the script draft, sat with me in my apartment for hours going over the script, watched cuts of the film, and just sent me messages of encouragement - thank you.

So what’s next? Onto the festival circuit (hopefully) and then finding a home for this film. Whatever happens, I’ll find a way for people to see this project. And remember folks, pace yourself ;)
