We were invited to one of the largest media platforms in the Democratic Republic of Congo. 🇨🇩❤️

It was an incredible honor to sit down with Top Congo to share the story behind Karibu Kidz and the mission that’s been growing far beyond anything we imagined.

This interview was conducted entirely in French, and over the next few weeks we’ll be sharing some of our favorite moments with English subtitles so our global family can follow along too.

We wanted to start with the question that matters most:

Why did we create Karibu Kidz?

This mission has never been just about songs or videos.

It’s about helping children celebrate African cultures, languages, and identities with joy and pride while creating content that families everywhere can enjoy together.

In a world that constantly tells us marriage is outdated, pointless, or destined to fail, we wanted to share a different perspective.

After 8 years of marriage, we took a few minutes to reflect on one simple question: What’s one thing we’ve learned?

For us, the answer came down to this:
🤝 Marriage is teamwork.
❤️ A healthy marriage doesn’t happen by accident—it takes daily intentionality.

Marriage isn’t always easy, but it’s one of God’s greatest gifts. It’s worth fighting for, worth investing in, and worth believing in.

If you’re married, keep choosing each other. If you’re hoping to be married one day, don’t let the world’s cynicism convince you that lasting love doesn’t exist. There is still beauty, hope, and purpose in God’s design for marriage.
