11 years in this sport and it’s been so much more than just wrestling. It’s been about the people I’ve met, the bonds I’ve built, and the family I’ve gained along the way.

I’m beyond grateful for my coaches here at MSUM and a team I wouldn’t change for anything, along with my family and everyone who’s been part of this journey. Through every challenge, every setback, and every lesson learned, Most importantly, I thank God for guiding me through it all🙏🏽

Didn’t hit every goal, but I finished strong and that means everything. Wrestling has given me more than I could ever put into words. It built me, challenged me, and surrounded me with the best people. Nothing but love for God, my coaches, teammates, and family couldn’t have done it without you. On to graduation and my next chapter of life ❤️ #rolldrags

Bruin Built. 🐾

Jacob Thomas fell in love with wrestling at four and came to Fargo South ready to chase a dream. His freshman year set the tone: determination, discipline, and a first trip to the state finals. From that moment, he knew he wanted to be a state champion.

Through injuries, setbacks, and even a pandemic that kept him off the mat, Jacob never wavered. He pushed himself, motivated his teammates, and stayed ready. By the time he left Fargo South, he was a two-time state champion, three-time finalist, and four-time state placewinner.

Now a college senior, Jacob is competing today at 157 pounds at the Northern Sun Conference Tournament for Minnesota State University Moorhead — with a shot at nationals.

We are so proud of the wrestler he became here, the competitor he continues to be, and the standard he set for Bruins who follow in his footsteps.

Go get ‘em, @jacobbthomas 💛🤎
