💔 In the tents, mothers know no rest; from the scorching heat of cooking to the endless washing of clothes, while baby Mahmoud cries for warmth and comfort. 😢

People of good will, ease the suffering of these mothers, and be a source of support for us in these harsh circumstances. Your donation could bring some safety and mercy to our children. 🙏🏻❤️🇵🇸 To contribute and donate 👇👇👇

I’m Yousef from Gaza… 🇵🇸💔
My family and I are trying to hold on to hope despite everything we’re going through. 🥺🤍
All I wish for is that our voice reaches your hearts, and that our story doesn’t remain just a few passing words.
If our story touches your heart, please don’t let it stop with you… share it, so our voice might reach someone who will listen and stand beside us. 🙏🏻🇵🇸

Every day I sit before the fire, the smoke gnawing at my chest and the flames burning me, just to prepare a morsel to feed my children… 💔😭 It pains me that my children's meal comes at the cost of my exhaustion and suffering amidst this hardship. Please, help me to feed my children without having to endure this torment every day. 🙏💔

Eileen’s first days at kindergarten… 🥺
Eileen and Ismail are dancing and laughing with the other children while the man sings for them, as if, for a moment, they forgot everything.
Behind these laughs is a childhood that has experienced things no child should ever have to know. 💔
They don’t ask for much… just to laugh, play, and grow up safely like every child should. 🇵🇸
I hope this laughter stays in their lives, and doesn’t become just a fleeting moment in the middle of all this pain.

Sometimes, all we want is a normal day. 🥺💔
A safe place, enough food for our family, and a little peace without fear.
My family and I are still trying to get through each day and hold on to hope. 🇵🇸❤️
Thank you to everyone who follows our story, checks on us, and stands beside us. Your kindness means more than you know. 🙏🏻

Our children are not only losing their toys, but their childhoods day by day amidst these harsh conditions. Your contribution, no matter how small, gives them a glimmer of hope and alleviates some of their suffering.

Meet Jacob.
He moved to China in 2007, back before #Lujiazui was adorned with super-tall skyscrapers and only 8 out of Shanghai’s 21 metro lines were completed. He stayed, he adapted, and he left—like many do in 2022.

But what followed wasn’t the next city or a new gig. It was a heart attack. Totally unexpected. The kind they call a widowmaker, clinical and absolute. Open-heart surgery. In his thirties.

Despite having part of his care done in Turkiye and Moldova, he came back—to Shanghai, of all places. To recover, to breathe, to trust local doctors with something as fragile as a second chance.

In our first #ShanghaiStories episode, Jacob talks about what it’s like to stare down your own mortality, and why, after everything, he still calls this city the right place to heal.
