We had a few teams slide up to Tennessee for the last @mlfbig5official derby of the year on Cherokee Lake. Congrats to Tanner LaRue & Lucas Russell for finishing 16th and qualifying for the National Championship at Toledo Bend. The teams of Jacob Jerrell / Evan Beard & Brady Garrison / Ethan Evatt also had solid finishes and got us some valuable school points.

The SC Bass Nation college derb on Lake Greenwood is in the books. Congrats to Jacob Jerrell & Evan Beard on their 3rd Place finish that earned them a little hardware and some lunch money for the week. Results won't be posted until tomorrow, but each team dropped a solid bag on the scales and I was super pleased with the overall consistency of the bags. Gwood showed out overall today for all of the College anglers in attendance. A big thank you to all of our team parents that traveled to the weigh-in and blast off today - your support of these guys doesn't go unnoticed.

Congratulations to Jacob Jerrell on being named to the ACA @collegiatebass All-Academic Team presented by @yamahaoutdoors .

A sophomore Business major, Jacob continues to prove that success extends well beyond tournament results. He brings that same dedication to the classroom and campus that he does to the water, maintaining a high GPA while being heavily involved with the team and @usc_union.

We’re proud to have Jacob representing the @uscunionanglers both on the water and in the classroom. Congratulations, Jacob!

Close to 700 anglers are about to hit Kentucky Lake tomorrow for the @collegiatebass Big Bass Bash presented by @berkleyfishing. The guys are excited to get out on the water and sling some @abugarcia_fishing reels around in the morning.

Couple of the bites from the other day. Huge thank you to Mr Jeff at Lucas lures for hooking me up with these. They work. The first one was a really cool fluke bite. She crushed it at the boat. #skeeterboats #13fishing #minnkota #abugarcia

ICAST 2026 is officially in the books! Every year, this show reminds me why I love this industry. It was great catching up with old friends, making plenty of new ones, seeing the latest innovations, and having conversations that will lead to exciting opportunities down the road. Until next year....
