I MIGHT REMEMBER WHAT I WROTE TONIGHT.

I didn’t want to go home early. So I pulled up to @bumpin.syd at @webstersbarnewtown , because why not. I had literally just finished a video and photoshoot sesh a few hours before, so there’s more coming from that.

Said hello to @duzndontz and @alex.hooie , of course.
6pm on a Sunday, and I’m supposed to just go home and collect dust? Not happening.

Apologies for what may sound like a personal post but this thing I do has always been personal, and that’s why I do it.

Last week was a week of big feelings on multiple fronts - seeing family and friends hurt and feeling powerless and overwhelmed. I am extremely lucky to have met some of the best people on the face of this planet, and to have been able to talk to them and for them to listen respectfully and step in to help fix things. It helped me remember that good people exist, and when we are open and talk, we find pathways to solutions together to make spaces safer and happier for everyone!

I was also so happy to see the entire 77 crew show up to support @whoisonlychild and @ciyc play at Laundry. The camaraderie and love amongst this group of fine, young, diverse people really does make my heart full. Community isn’t about the social media posts we share, it is how it is lived and acted.
