FCA Camp!!

(Part two is on second slide)

This past week, I had the opportunity to sing on the worship team at an FCA camp in west Tennessee for middle and high school students. It was such a beautiful and eye-opening experience.
I'd never been to a Christian camp before, let alone led worship at one. Being on a worship team is still pretty new to me, and I definitely doubt myself on stage more than I should, but I truly love worshipping like this with all my heart.

Huge thank you to the worship team and Megan Allen (@fisherandrubysmom ) for giving me this opportunity! Also thank you to @tnfcacamp for an amazing camp!

I came to this camp because I love to sing and worship, and I want to help others do the same. What I didn't expect was how much this camp would impact me (even though it's intended for middle and high schoolers). On Tuesday, I told another worship leader that I was afraid to share my testimony because I was scared people would judge me or not understand, and she basically encouraged me by saying everyone's walk with God is different and that it isn't anyone's place to judge.

The next day, before our last worship set, a girl came on stage and shared her testimony. She basically said that there may be parts of ourselves we can't change, but we can choose how we see them and still be grateful for how God made us and strengthen/ prioritize our personal relationships with God.

(Swipe to the second slide if you wanna keep reading)

It felt she was speaking directly to me because it was exactly what I needed to hear. Just one day after I admitted I was afraid to share my story, she stood in front of about 600 students and shared, without fear, a testimony that sounded incredibly similar to mine, and I felt like someone completely understood me. The worship team went back on stage shortly after, and for the first time, I wasn't thinking about singing technique or musicality. I was just worshipping. It was definitely the most genuine and meaningful worship experience I've ever had, and afterwards, someone told me it was the best they'd ever heard me sing.

I don't say this to seek attention or anything like that, I just wanted to share this to remind
