Senior Spotlight!
Congratulations and Best Wishes to Jacob!

Jacob recently graduated from St. Edward High School and has been dancing for nine years, studying styles including tap, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and musical theater.

Throughout his time in dance, Jacob has grown not only as a dancer, but also as an artist and performer.

In musical theater, some of his favorite roles include Damian in Mean Girls, Prince Oliver in Between the Lines, Charlie in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Finch in Newsies, and his musical theater debut as Young Will in Big Fish.

These experiences have helped shape his love for performing on stage. Most recently, Jacob was one of six nominees for “Best Actor” at the 2026 Dazzle Awards!

This fall, Jacob will attend Savannah College of Art and Design to major in acting. He hopes to continue dancing while pursuing double minors in both musical theater and dance.

Jacob would like to thank Heidi for her guidance and inspiration, as well as all of his dance partners for the memories and support along the way.

A special thank you goes to his mom for her constant encouragement and love.

After more than three decades of producing dance performances, this past Sunday marked something entirely new ~ our very first Tap Artistry Project winter showcase!

In just 7–8 weeks, this cast of 17 dancers, ages 3–18, brought to life a fully tap-focused production filled with rhythm, personality, and heart. Tap Artistry Project itself is only 10 months old, and a year ago I could never have imagined an evening like this, or how proud I would feel watching it all come together.

Audience members shared how surprised they were by the incredible variety and how engaging an entire show of tap could be.

From our youngest performers to our graduating seniors, Emma and Jacob, every dancer rose to the occasion and created something truly memorable.

It was especially meaningful to look out into the audience and see parents who were once my students themselves, now trusting me with their children. Their continued support, encouragement, and belief in what I do has meant more than words can express.

This video, beautifully captured by @joshuamlawhorn, offers a glimpse of both the performances and the celebration that followed, including a wonderful dinner catered by @coynecatering and the chance to spend time together after the show.

Deep gratitude to everyone who helped make the evening so special: Cleveland Specialty Products for their diamond sponsorship, Vicki Adamich and Aimee Maiure for the stunning decor, additional support from Stein, Olson, Stang, Mouth Matters, and the van der Oord, Toulouse, and Ponziani families; Karen Jones and Leilani Adler backstage; Ally Roberts for sound and stage management, and Annie Pope for her organizational support!

Most of all, I am so proud of these dancers and what they accomplished in such a short time. This special group of dancers has laid the foundation for future Tap Artistry Project performers to build upon. 💛🖤
