🏅MEDAL MONDAY: FLIGHT EDITION ✈️

Started my LONG COURSE METERS season yesterday with a quick inter team meet 🏊‍♂️

-.9 in 50m breast 🐸
-.39 in 50m fly 🦋
+.1 in 50m back 🐬

Had some small drops but really my focus was having fun 🤩 with my dudes, especially my guy Aahan. He doesn’t have many @fasttigers practices left before switching to the dark side @thecarmelswimclub (insert @starwars reference 😭

Those @inswimming association records are going to have to wait just a little longer for me try and write my name next to them 😉

My real focus is traveling safe to meet up with my guy @ferrera_usa to take on @isca.swim ELITE EAST!

I’m coming to defend my crown 👑 and my dad keeps being vague about earning the belt 🏆 it’s my last official shot at SCY for awhile so wish me luck 🍀 as I try to break some National Age Group Records (looking at you @kaiiliam 🐺 ♦️

BTW- it was AMAZING to see fellow Greenfield kid @bmull24 hit the game winner for @uconnmbb last night! Welcome back to Indiana 🏀

And congrats 🎉 to Coach @raylooze and @indianaswimdive for a 🥉 place finish in the @ncaa @ncaaswimdive NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP @alexeiswims @josh.bey @noah_cakir75 @luke.whitlock_ @luke_d_ellis @david._kovacs @owenwmcd @sarkanyzalan @aaron_shackell

And I can’t forget my @packswimdive guys doing some big things @quintin__mccarty @arseniobustos @dirty__dan01 @drew_salls @kaiiliam and forever grateful for @kyleponsler

Time passes and feelings fade, but the memories I’ve created in this sport will stay with me forever. Diving has taught me some of life’s toughest lessons that not everything will go your way, and you won’t always have the advantage. Whether at the good ole lew or away, it’s the trust and confidence you build in yourself that pushes you to meet the challenge.
I couldn’t be more proud of the teammates I’ve met and the relationships I’ve built along the way.
Officially retired as a diver.

💥RECORD BREAKER UPDATE💥

As many of you know, I love finding me a good record board to put into my goals 🚀

And @inswimming ‘s record is one of the best to chase! There are so many great swimmers 🏊‍♂️ that have gone to swim in high school, college, and even a few pro’s/Olympians 😱 It’s less about beating them and more about trying to follow the amazing path they have already blazed 🔥

While success at my age doesn’t have a strong correlation with future success 💣 I still believe it is worth learning how to train hard and test your limits 💪

One of my favorite things about breaking records is reaching out to the former record holder to get a video from them 🎬 Sometimes I can’t connect with a former records holder, sometimes they ignore me 🙄 but sometimes they are AMAZING and offer inspiration and wisdom 🤩

Every great athlete knows that records are made to be broken ⛓️‍💥 And while I hope mine stick around for awhile, I also hope that the future record holder reaches out to me to let me know that they broke my records so that I can send them a video of encouragement 😎

I’ve still got some unfinished business on this record board (👀 50 breast 🐸 + 50 fly 🦋) with a few more association records to grab, but if has been a blast learning about these swimmers and connecting with many of them ❤️ Thank you to all that are continuing to be ambassadors of this great sport 👏
