REFINED RADIO 079

Ottawa. 60 million Spotify streams. A TikTok demo that landed a collab with Tory Lanez.

Jacob Vallen built this from the ground up — viral moments turned into real releases, real releases turned into a fanbase that doesn’t quit.

Canadian and doing it at a level most don’t reach. We’re glad to have him on 079.

We will leave it to Jacob Vallen now. Go.

"Look, sometimes staying safe in our own warm space isn't about being lazy; it’s about needing peace. Outside, the world is cold, fast, and demanding. We often feel bad for taking a step back, but so many people around us are hurting and just trying to figure things out. We all need love, a family, or just a friend to stand by us when things get heavy. Being uncomfortable is just a sign that we care, that we're alive, and that we need each other. Don't feel bad for protecting your mind. Let's look out for one another."

Been a minute…

Haven’t posted in a while. Took some time to myself, travelled around Europe, spent some time with fam to celebrate my grandpas 90th, and just lived life for a bit. Sometimes you need to step away to fill your cup up

Feeling inspired, excited and ready to get back into a creative flow again

Tour starts in two weeks and I’m stoked to finally announce the amazing artists joining me along the way.

Life is good. See you out there <3

You bedazzle half your thoughts
And wish quite a few would burn
As if we aren’t simply creatures of
Individualized experience

You smell like salt
Which invokes both taste and time
You’re nothing but everything
And middle ground is complicated

I write poems because
Ideas occupy my wildfire brain
Hopefully more than people do
Plus ink smells like lavender smoke

We’re not so different
Imagine our moonlit shadows
Mixing wax and scents into life
With grace

VOLUME ALL THE WAY UP!! 🔊🔥🏃‍♂️

This one had WAY too much energy 😭

The type of run where you leave the house telling yourself
“easy effort today”
and 14 minutes later you’re basically filming your own sports movie.

I swear good weather and a fire soundtrack turns me into a completely different person.

Huge thank you to @heartbreak.run for consistently protecting this bald head from taking direct sun damage every single run.

@goodr for making sunglasses that survive sweat, chaos, dramatic arm swings and whatever this pace progression thing I’ve been doing lately is.

@shokzusa for somehow letting me hear traffic, birds, my knees cracking AND this insane @jacobvallen mix all at the same time.

and @nikerunning for continuing to make shoes that make me want to go outside and hit pavement even on the days I tell myself I’m tired.

Recovery still going.
Legs still rebuilding.
But man…
this version of life feels good.
