Happy closing night to the cast and crew of Murder on the Orient Express!!!

They say that the size of the ache is the size of the gift. I know from this show just how true that is because right now the ache in my heart is tremendous. This show and the role of Helen Hubbard has meant more to me than I can put into words.

One of the things that is really hard for me about theatre is how ephemeral it is. We spend so much love and energy creating this wonderful thing and then it is over, never to be recreated. Letting go of that is really hard for me and especially so for this show.

Lots of love and gratitude for those that I got to work with on this amazing train! I hope Mrs. Hubbard both irritated the snot out of you and broke your heart (IYKYK).

Tonight was one of those nights when you’re not quite sure what to expect and you leave feeling proud, moved, and inspired. ❤️

We were so honored that Greyson was selected to represent his Spamalot cast from the @breckenridgebackstagetheatre STEP Program at the Women in the Arts fundraiser.

What a thrill to see the cast back together onstage, lending their talents to such a meaningful evening.

Hosted collaboratively by @nromusic, Breckenridge Backstage Theatre, and @breck_film, the event raised funds for a Summit County youth scholarship supporting a rising young woman in the arts as she enters her next chapter after high school.

The evening showcased an incredible range of local talent, alongside beautiful performances from NRO musicians @harpistkari on harp and @juiceteenie on violin.

It was also so much fun watching my fellow Betties hockey player @cait.mccluskie—Programming & Operations Director at @breck_film—take the stage and showcase local filmmakers. She is a force all her own!

The evening was held in honor of Emily Wahl, and hearing her husband speak about her life, her impact, and the many organizations and people she touched was incredibly moving.

They closed with a panel where several artists shared their hopes for the next generation: Create a welcoming, safe place for everyone to be themselves. Take the road less traveled. Listen with empathy. Lead with kindness. Stay authentic to who you are.

Messages we can all stand to hear a little more often.

I love our arts community and everyone who gives their time, talent, and heart to keep it thriving. I’m proud of @cwinnola for serving on the Backstage Theatre board, and so proud of Greyson for becoming such an active part of the theatre community.

A beautiful night celebrating talent, opportunity, community, and the women who help make the arts possible. 🎭🎶🎨

$What a helluva year! It started in NYC with @imjustsophie1209 seeing a bunch of shows. Then it was our 25th wedding anniversary, which we celebrated with a vow renewal with friends and then went to Paris. And then this totally wild thing happened where I got this crazy idea to audition for my first show in 32 years, Young Frankenstein at @breckenridgebackstagetheatre. And somehow I managed to get cast as the iconic Frau Blücher! This show truly did change my life, reminding me how much I used to love doing theatre and showing me the importance of balancing my work (oh yeah, I got started as a LinkedIn Learning instructor this year!) with something that brings me joy. After 36 shows I came away with a ton of wonderful memories and a bunch of life-long friends. 🐴🐴 Somehow in there I managed to turn 50 at the Breck Oktoberfest and then decided to do another theatre event, acting in the BBT Halloween show. And we wrapped the year with making some new theatre friends doing the holiday show. 2025, by many accounts, was a complete dumpster fire. And in many ways it was for me too. Our world has never been more fractured. But I found my joy this summer in the mountains with a whole bunch of incredibly talented people doing a really fun show, hopefully bringing some light and laughter to this small corner of the world. May 2026 bring more of that. @hannah_heil @selah.saurus @natalieavasteele @mayakaempf @mc_mcintosh @mirandanmccauley @parker.ellsworth @its_trec00 @henry.beddoe @ericconditioning @alexhorn56 @supermiclo @bradleyparrish_ @trentramert @jazminnauroraa @donnie_woodard_scenic @josiahcro @jessewiono @yank0707 @caseyhebbel @hannahmary32 @vogorelow @jacqstone (I hope I didn't miss anyone!)$
