On New Year’s Eve I released my debut feature film, Making YouTube, fulfilling my ultimatum and accomplishing my lifelong dream of becoming a movie director.

I cannot believe it. I couldn’t have done it without the help of so many beautiful talents, from the cast to the crew to the locations, everyone and everything came together to make an incredible movie.

I hope that Making YouTube is one of the more important modern biopics. And being a biopic about the incredible Chad Hurley, the subject matter was near and dear to my heart.

Thank you to all the incredibly talented people who helped make this movie! You are all kind and amazing!

2022 will be very zen.

P.s. To get the movie out by our New Year’s Eve midnight deadline, we had to rush through sound mixing, but I’m hoping to release a remastered audio version very soon! (Thank you everyone who has watched so far!)

Very grateful to have had the opportunity to co-produce the debut feature film for a hero of mine. From the beginning of pre-production to online in less than 8 weeks. We scheduled out a 15pg/day shoot, gathered an incredible crew who I’m excited to work with in the future, cast over 20 speaking roles + extras, found locations etc. all in 3 weeks in the middle of the holidays on a $0 budget. So many people rallied around this project to make it happen and it’s exceeding the number of people I can tag on IG. So proud of what we accomplished. If you’re seeing this and you worked on the movie, I’m incredibly grateful for the unbridled effort and enthusiasm that everyone put into this project. Exported and uploaded 10 minutes before the new year, the best way I could have imagined the year ending. In the words of Chad when he catches Steve making ecstasy in his bedroom, “this is insane”.
