Conceived by Frédéric de Luca in 1999 for a young collector as a seamless work of art and later dispersed at Christie’s in 2007, this emblematic Rue du Cherche-Midi apartment is pictured here with works by Valérie Raymond-Stempowska, Jacques Jarrige, Luc Rolland and Laurence Montano.

Wallpaper Wednesday…
It’s now the year of the Fire 🔥 Horse and we couldn’t help but remember the cool wallpaper we used in a West Village townhouse project’s bedroom…
Zoom in - it’s all intertwined running horses….

TTT - Tricks of the Trade Tuesday….
When working on showhouses (this was the 2014 Designer Showhouse of New York) one usually needs to submit a rendering or an illustration for the brochure… these capture the essence of the room, before it’s actually created - when the room only exists in your head and then seen through the artist’s eye … I find this one of the most fascinating aspects of interior design - and most times the rooms actually look very similar to the interpretation…
I’ve worked on four illustrations, shown here is one of them - all always done in black ink with my late friend @butlerdad who always got it to a t.
I would call him and explain my vision, send a few photos and voila - the finished room appeared out of his hand like magic …
